You should speak to the NBI regarding this. They are the ones who issue the certificates and are doing this all the time. You have an annulment which is common in PI because you can get divorce in PI. Which is much different in most countries. I you I130 package you should have identified all you other names used there. I would not worry about telling your husband not to send but you can still go to NBI and discuss this with them. Of course they will probably charge you for reissuing your records if that is even needed here. You could also call the Embassy and ask them. Then bring what you need to your interview if you need more supporting evidence. These are just my though because I was the divoiced one and had to provide my certified divorce papers from the Court house in the US. My wife was never married so I am guessing a little as we only needed to provide the Original Marriage Certificate.

On my I-130 package i have identified the other name/s i used. Anywho, i went to NBI today and requested a clearance with the annotation, they asked my birth certificate and gave them copy of my annulment papers. Of course i was charged another fees but its ok. The thing is i wont be able to get the clearance until November 5 cuz according to them there are other persons in their system that have the same name as mine, the main office still needs to validate it. So another weeks of delay :(

I would not let this delay you. Send in what you have with the old NBI then bring the new one with you to the interview. Explain this in your cover letter. Why delay... Thats what I would do.

Hey guys! I just called the NVC...again. So they told me that they had received our petition.... great! Buuut they told me that they will contact us once a NVC case # is assigned, which will probably take 4 to 6 weeks acording to them. What's the deal here? :( Do I need to keep bugging them everyday until they give me the number? I just hope the time estimete they give is just something they say and not the actual situation.

Since your I-130 NOA2 date is exactly 1 week after mine, please add 1 week in the NVC process of mine to get yours :star: (Except my DOB issue, of course :star: )

Usually it takes around 2 weeks or so to get ur case# assigned! :thumbs: Good luck! :)

Toni- I would call and see what the AVR says each day and yes bug them. If you wait for them to contact you, it might be a while. This is the stage where you can call and be more productive. :thumbs: The next thing they will tell you is 6-8 weeks for correspondence. Luckily that isn't the case. Some things seem to take 2 weeks or less (except for when waiting for the SIF...which is around 3 weeks lately).

When holding for a human with NVC numnber, now and then this lady comes on to say "All of our operators are busy. Blah, blah, blah." You're holding, holding and being put to sleep with the nice lullalaby. But this lady comes and you jump up thinking someone picked up. But no. It's the automated voice still. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
