Well, it's a gosh darn miracle....called NVC this morning....same sh!t....here I am, writing out invites for my son's birthday party, and get a call from my hubby 10 minutes ago, ummmmm honey, just tried to sign into the portal, and I think it is SIF.....sure enough, it was. So I called NVC, and finally get the news....

SIF AND CASE CLOSED!! Interviews are being scheduled for March.....she said to call back by the third week of the month to see if we made march interview...you think we will make march?!?!?! Our family goal was for him to be here by my baby sister's wedding april 16....there might be a chance now!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

Today, I read on the China portal, a guy's paperwork got sent to UK by mistake, instead of China.....WOW, NVC sleeping on that one.

I called DOS today n spoke with the operator, he said my case is not scheduled for the interview yet. I think I am going to miss march for the interview.

I have a Question, Do we get email from the NVC which indicates that my case is completed? If yes, I have not got any. I did spoke with the operator regarding this and they said you should not get any email until they schedule the interview. But I have read on many post which indicates that they do get the email from the NVC indicating that " NVC has received all the documents for the case and will let you know the interview date or something blah blah blah"

Please suggest me shall I call them again or just wait for the interview date email.

NVC will not send you an email to indicate case complete. However, you will get an email once your interview data has been set. Good luck!

NVC will not send you an email to indicate case complete. However, you will get an email once your interview data has been set. Good luck!

I received an email from NVC 5 days after the SIF, stating our case was completed and forwarded to the consulate, and that we would be contacted by the consulate with further instructions, do not call the consulate. And the wait continues... :blink:
