10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

The below guide will give all the information.

You don't need the help of CPA and it can be done by yourself.

Main things are:

1) File the articles of organization with the Secretary of the State to get a legal business name, owner etc. (with minimal fee)

2) Get FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) online - free

3) Get State Sales Tax number - with minimal fee

These are only startup procedures other than the business plans and actions.

Then, you need to withhold the taxes every quarter.

If you have employees, you need to get Worker's Comp and Unemployment Insurance from Dept. of Labor

At the end of the tax year, you will file 1040 with Schedule C. Schedule C allows all business expenses (more liberal) and net business income/loss is derived from the revenue. The net will be transferred to your 1040. Other tax benefit is you can deduct half of Self employment Social Security and Medicare taxes in the 1040.

In fact, naturalization officer asked about my business as well during citizenship interview (when browsed my tax returns), but there was no issues.

I am really confused about my career plans. Well my job was extended till Feb 14th now I am not sure if they will extend if further. If thy do I don't want to be a temp employee.

If I look 4 a new job I don't want to work as temp bc no benefits.

Also, I do not want to quit my current job bc I won't get any UI benefits.

Any suggestions?

Got my Federal Income Tax Return finished today. I do not have to pay this year,, :thumbs: . Just have to wait on wife's passport so as to get ITIN number. Now if we could just get an Interview date.
