I HAVE A QUESTION, I READ HERE THAT WHEN YOU CALL TO GET YOUR CASE NUMBER, AFTER YOU GET IT YOU HAVE TO CALL A HUMAN TO GIVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, I ASKED BEFORE ABOUT THIS, BUT I AM PLANNING ON CALLING TOMORROW, THE QUESTION IS IF THERE IS OTHER WAY TO GET THE NUMBER, CUS MY HUSBAND CALLED ON THURSDAY AND HE TALKED TO A HUMAN AND HE WAS TOLD THAT THE CASE HADNT GOTTEN THERE, I MEAN, I THINK THAT THERE IS A MACHINE WHICH CAN TELL YOU FOR WHAT I IMPLY OF WHAT I READ, IF I AM WRONG, WELL, IT IS OK I PREFER TO TALK TO HUMANS ANYWAYS, AND MY HUSBAND HATES MACHINES,

one more question in addition to the previous ones, Her name in the birth certificate lists her name as her last initial and her fist name,

ex: If her full name is Divya Kumar (Divya=firstname, Kumar=lastname), her birth certificate lists her name as "K Divya". In India, particularly the south, it is common to use the lastname initial with the given first name. Her passport however lists her full name (Divya Kumar).

So am thinking, I should probably add this name (K Divya) in the other names used section in DS-230 since it is mentioned that way in an official document that I would be submitting ie, the birth certificate.

Any thoughts ??

I have seen a few people who wrote N/A who have got an RFE and there are differing opinions about whether to write NONE or repeat her name as in Question 1.

Also, 30. List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality. Begin with your present residence

If she has lived in two different addresses (same city and province, just two different street address), should they be shown seperately with the timelines or since it is the same city/state/country, one line entry is sufficient, since the street address anyway is not asked there.

She can put "NONE" in other names used.

Yes, only one address is enough since it doesn't ask the street address, but cover the entire period as a single entry.

Your husband has to call NVC live operator to provide your both email addresses.

Also, can you please turn off caps lock key and type in small letters? It is a request.

I Didnt know it was illegal to write in cap, I am used for my work, thanks for the help though, I will post in september thread, then. and I called and they gave me inf too, NVC people are nicer than USCIS.

Of course, you can enter it in other names used. Not a problem

Visa will be issued in the passport name, BTW.

guys how many months to stay in NVC b4 they will forward a case to US embassy manila????

Thanks Mary. Yeah, the AVR is what you should get when you dial the number and get past the options menu. It should tell you right away if you have a case number or not. Some times it is accurate and others it is not.

It's not illegal but some people get really annoyed by it because in the internet, writing in caps = screaming.

Quick question. So to receive the INN by e-mail, all you have to do is merely provide the NVC with e-mails of the petitioner and the beneficiary? You don't have to request anywhere in the phone call to receive such information by e-mail?

WOW congratulations!!! And at a bargain price to boot! Now there is only one GIANT step to go... I am sure that will be no big problem either.

I wonder why the cost for medicals vary so much? $61 bucks is a forth of what it cost in PI and that's a poor country ... Just doesn't make sense to me.
