I wanted to mention one more thing in your tax return.

There is an $800 credit (free money) as Working Pay Credit for MFJ people this year. Since you are going to use ITIN of your wife, probably they might pay you only $400 your portion. You can get another $400 next year tax filing with your wife's SSN. Please check it out. I think similar thing happened to me some time back with my wife's ITIN filing.

These credits are introduced for the last few years to boost the U.S economy and it can vanish in the future.

I wanted to mention one more thing in your tax return.

If not, I don't wanna loose $400, rather I'll file my return once my wife has her SS#

If you use your wife's SSN this year, you'll get full $800 now.

If you use her ITIN this year, you will get her $400 potion next year only.

Tax software will take care of this schedule - it is Schedule M.

One more note, Malvika.

You told you filed as married filing jointly last year for 2009 return with her ITIN. right?

So, check out you last year's Schedule M. Probably, you might have got only $400 refund. If so, file with her SSN this year. This way you will get her last year's $400 portion, your $400 this year and her $400 this year - total $1,200 - not bad.

We had an rfe in december for a missing casier judiciare....well the nvc finally got in on january 7, and they just finished reviewing it today, and they said it is the wrong paper....IT IS NOT THE WRONG PAPER! What am I supposed to do?? The operator kept telling me the review said it was the wrong document....#######??? :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

You need to keep talking to different NVC operators to conclude it. Also, send an email to Supervisor Sue to clarify it.

With the limited info here, I am unable to figure out what is happening. It could be wrong info as well from their side.

sure, sometimes it just takes couple of days and sometimes a week. You can actually find it out by asking NVC operator.

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM
