Happy weekend everyone :) And congratz on all the new progresses!

Quick question regarding the 'long birth certificate' needed in submitting the ds-230. I have my husband's exact original bc from Bermuda (british colony) stating all the good basics, but it's not overly detailed. It does have the parent's name, his name, DOB, and paragraph explanation of certification and all. I wouldn't think that they wouldn't accept an original but im not sure what the long bc refers to or what it means exactly. Can someone please clarify? Thanks!!

Update: I was just checking to see if my IV bill has been invoiced and to my surprise, it was. I haven't received any email regarding my DS3032 being accepted yet. But i didnt want to wait, so I just paid the IV bill. One step closer.

Now have to wait for the email and IV bill to show as Paid. Then the wait for the darn PCC.

Hi.

Email notification of the DS-3032 is 'hit or miss'

Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't.

Mostly, and usually - if

The IV fee bill is available to be paid -

then

the DS-3032 has been added to the casefile, successfully.

You do know there are parallel processes for NVC, yes? No?

'Long' vs 'Short'

depends on Birth Country.

Dig around (use the advanced search tool, or find the forum)

that deals with Bermuda and Bermuda Birth Certificates.

Good Luck !

You will receive email confirmation that the DS 3032 has been accepted!!! HERE is what my husband got:

eh - not always. It's really 'hit or miss'.

You hope, as a USCitizen, that the data systems slinging YER data this month, really , truly, really handles the CONCEPTS that the DESIGNERS put in.

Mostly, that's not the case.

If you (pardon, not you - you know this cr@p already - so - you=anyone else reading this) learn that the IV fee bill shows up in the online web portal -

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

DS-3032 has been added to the casefile (sorry, it's no concept of 'accepted' or 'approved')

Good Luck !

Congrats t everyone who is moving right along! :thumbs:NVC is maddening! You spend the whole waiting time at USCIS stage thinking you've got the whole thing licked. Then once you get to the NVC your mind fills with doubt over everything. Would help if they didn't keep switching their answers from time to time :).

Thanks everyone for the good luck and wishes. I received the AOS package from the co-sponsor  And my husband might be sending out his dox tomorrow. He would've done it today but he had some confusion as to my address so he delayed it another day (b/c I was at work and blah blah blah personal info :P) So now I am just reviewing everything and should be able to send off the AOS package on Monday. Good grief! I never thought we would get this far! Thanks everyone again for all of your support. We are far from done but closer indeed! :star::thumbs:

That's exceptionally strange -

as

you would have thought (or I would have thought)

that

yer USCitizen Spouse

would have understood yer address with the G-325A filed with the I-130. (that was months ago - why hasn't he reviewed VJ as a guest? )

Perhaps is long term translation problem ?

Oh well - glad it's all sorted now.

Ehem..

Ok, I was taking my dinner break at work.. Checked the online portal, I could still sign in (3 weeks and 3 days of waiting for SIF). I had 15mins to kill, so I figured, what the heck, called NVC, got through after 5th redial.. then AVR said, "Your case was completed on October 13th, please wait....". I jumped and called my husband right away! And when I got home after work at approx 2345, I called NVC and was on hold for 30mins+. I was thinking maybe I should hang up because I though maybe the NVC guys are all gone, but this very nice operator answered and he verified that we're CC, final review and all that! I asked for a possibility of a November interview (hey, I had to ask.. :P), and he said unfortunately Nov interview's all booked and full. That's ok,I'm still thrilled we got CC today and no RFEs!!!   And I thought I was having a crappy day at work...

@Milena: They don't want me to get behind! I didn't realize your interview's coming soon. CONGRATS!!!!! And goodluck with your interview!

Final Review is Finished? Really? WOW ! that's the 'end hurdle'.

Suggest you call back on Tuesday, and talk to a Supervisor, and inquire:

--Interview Queue not so full for my country - come on - contact the Embassy, ask them to squeeze me in for November? Please?

--Hey ! the 2nd week in October was really busy - that final review was complete on 13 OCT 2010 - come on - you can put me in the queue for November, yes?

---------------

Good Luck ! Keep Trying !

Okay, just for the record - I hate the time difference cos when I wake up I have like 200000 e-mails for new posts and when I log on - everyone is offline and probly sleeping! :D hahaa :D Dang it..

These notifications are really coming in via email?

Really?

Truly ?

No Kidding?

OK you -

200,000 emails is too much

and

that means you have 'turned on'

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many email notifications for 'watched topics'.

Pare it back.

Turn off 199,999 of them, focus solely on this topic

and

switch to

'daily digest'

soon.

Soonish.

Sunday, if possible.

Let me know if you need help on the 'watched topics' stuff.

200,000 emails is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

Seriously !

updates: AOS status PAID,..were ready to mail our AOS package to NVC...but im still waiting for the DS3032 notification if they accepted it or not..guys do i need to resend another one??..:unsure::unsure:

No, not resend the DS-3032.

Wait 15 days

and

study study study

the NVC process -specifically HOW things run in parallel.

Sure, the IV fee bill 'showing up in the online portal'

is

the definitive indication that the DS-3032 was added to the casefile

but

you truly must be patient.

Ya, you, and yer USCitizen Spouse (does he/she visit VJ, often? if not - make it happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Personal update: Since it is Friday, I shall check both mails today to see if I received something from the co-sponsor. If not, I will be making a call tonight to check on what went wrong. My husband is still light years away from sending the stupid papers (anyone sense the frustration in my typing? :P). Anyway...

Oh My.

This must suck for you and yer USCitizen Spouse, as

__YOU__

are waiting on an email from the co-sponser.

Why to wait? Why is yer USCitizen Spouse NOT following up with the co-sponser?

The foreign spouse, the beneficiary, not wait on co-sponser email.

Something is very twisted, here.

Hope it all resolves !

IV fee is now invoiced and my Ds3032 is now accepted..here's the messages..

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

According to our records, your Affidavit of Support Processing Fee

payment was made on-line through the Department of State's website:

www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov, Fee Collection. You must now download and

complete the appropriate Affidavit of Support form and submit it to the

NVC in order to complete your immigrant visa processing.

Please visit the Department of State's website above to download a copy

of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864A, or I-864W and/or the instructions.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the

NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will

expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents

will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration

process.

As to the USC not following up on the co-sponsor...ummm I have been. I didn't want to ride his heels as he is doing us a major favor and also isn't my uncle but my husband's uncle. Anyway, it has all been resolved and I shall be sending off the AOS package tomorrow. :hehe:

A question regarding the DS-230 form to the Experts out here including LOTO :)

On the DS-230, Question 2, Other Names used or Aliases(If married woman, give maiden name)

My wife's name hasn't changed after marriage and plan to keep it that way. Should she write NONE there or should her name be repeated once more so that they know the name hasn't changed. I have seen a few people who wrote N/A who have got an RFE and there are differing opinions about whether to write NONE or repeat her name as in Question 1.

Also, 30. List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality. Begin with your present residence

If she has lived in two different addresses (same city and province, just two different street address), should they be shown seperately with the timelines or since it is the same city/state/country, one line entry is sufficient, since the street address anyway is not asked there.

Appreciate your valued input !

Thanks
