@LD, Please don't tell me :star:, and I guess you're in are in SAP, Unix area from your last quote. I think SAP ROI is also not bad :star: There was an era back in 1995-2000 when NYC was real hot. 2 of my classmates were hammering with $150/hr in W-2 during those days and I was just hearing all their news by making $50K a year and waiting for my GC. That was my priority at that time. Those friends didn't care GC and continued in H1. But things changed since 2001. Those are still magical numbers for me :star:

Sorry bro. I was writing a DTS on one of the SQL server to move craps around. I spend an hour testing it only to finally realize the target server is in another ****ing domain. FML.

Ramen is just rice noodles. Cheap and unhealthy. But it's friggin' delicious.

If i made 200K 1st thg I wuld get is my own home. W/ the field I am in I doubt I will ever make tht. I did bachelors in Finance & Accounting n thn completed mba but I still haven't figured out which field I want to be in. I am still confused abt whether I shld do CFA or CPA :unsure: Any, ideas which1 is better. Also, CT is exp n I cannot move out of CT bc I have to be ther 4 my parents.

Yes. About 60% of my DB-related work is in SQL. Rest on Oracle. I can't wait to add DBA to my title. Hopefully, in a while. The trouble is I love where I work now and my boss, co-workers, etc. Part of me doesn't want to move to any other department or boss. But the 3% yearly increase ain't gonna cut it for much longer.

I'm in the same boat. I'd rather be with my family than make a lot of money. As long as there's food on the table, and roof above the head. I don't care that I drive an '89 CIVIC. This little car still runs like a boss.

Ok, If you have MBA in Finance, it will have its own weight to get a beautiful job. I don't know much about CFA. But CPA can have additional weight and you can practise your own part-time tax consulting without interrupting the main job. What I have seen is it will be a slow start for MBA guys, but eventually it can geared up! Even average salary of Harvard MBA whiz is $100K. But down the line they recoup everything very fast. Similary, in your case try to get a demanding position and bit experience and then grab the gold :star:

My wife did MBA in Finance & Marketing from India (after her bachelor's in Corporate Secretariship). That's why she want to do one more short course here.

However, my ex-wife did MBA in Accounting in CT university (after her Architectural Engg.) and she got placed as CT State Auditor. No clue about further information on this!
