For the past 2 years I found that FlyChina.com was a good site for finding flight prices, routes, and schedules. The best price so far has been about $1700 from Virginia to China.

If I book 2 seperate bookings, going the same routes, it would be $1400. That is $300 less, for just making 2 bookings, instead of 1 complete booking. I did that last year, and it worked out good. If I am fortunate to be at the Interview with my wife, and we get to come back together, I have to take that into consideration also.

How are you doing? I just spoke to my boss, she informed me that this year they are going to cutting budget..It possible, they will get rid off from some offices. Our office is in RED HIGHLIGHTED!

Lets say , If I will be lay off...What state would be recommend for me as living, weather and deshi crowded.

I have been working for small company(AT & T contractor) as Business Marketing Analyst since last 6 years!

Education base:

Bachelor in International Business from Edison State college

Masters in Finance from University of Gulf Coast

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

The desi or at least the Bengali hubs are NYC, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, LA area. You won't find better weather than in FL. Maybe in California. But job market is ####### there from what I hear. Just move to NYC. Crappy weather during winter. But it's best place to have a life outside of just work. You can actually make friends and go out for fun. I'd so live in NYC if I could. But my family is firmly planted where we are. Can't leave without them.

Since you own the home and no mortgage, your location is the best to reduce the cash outflow. I don't know about the openings there.

I know this tri-state area is hot for openings and great rate, that's one of the reasons I am hanging around here, even though the weather sucks!

Weather is not main issue for me anymore since i already past 10 years with tropical chill. Not even exciting anymore, specialy when you dont have Good Job! As my previouse experince, Florida Job market is suckS! I could make anyway less 10k-15k than any other states. But where i live..Miami is closest city around with Deshi people..but not as excited as NYC or houston or LA. It hard to find your own level people in Miami..Most of them are businessman and working in the GAS station..have NO time for family fun/gossip/weekend chiled!

I will rent out my house..which i could get $700.00 a month that would great plus for me to help pay my rent in other states.

I heard also Washington DC area could be good one for JOB/DESHI community?

@MB, DC also not bad for job and one of the potential asset appreciation locations!

@LD, Yay, CT is one of the tri-state locations I have worked in CT for 6 years and moved to NY
