My darling husband decided to do something similar last year. He jumped into the glacier lake right by our cabin at like 8am and then ran back into the cabin and jump embraced me - I was like Argghghhhhhhhhhhh! It is funny AFTER the event - not during. I will get my own back on him!! :rofl:

Lovely house. I wanted to say one thing. Please, please buy low furnitures. They make your house, room look bigger and modern. Don't buy things with lots of organic lines. Go for solid, bold, straight lines. Convince bhabi if you have to. Don't ever buy sleigh beds. Always platform.

In fact, we will be buying average stuff - also good looking and solid ones. I don't want to spend more on these items.

We had excellent furniture and electronics items. Unfortunately, I sold all of them when she went back to India in 2009. Now, we need to buy everything again from scratch :crying:

Thanks Indigo! The owner remodeled the home completely, so it looks like relatively new.

Folks,

Am asking this question here because I can't get an answer anywhere - even though it is a sideways topic for this thread, hoping one of you here in this, the best of all threads, might know the answer:

My wife and son are flying in 24 hours. She went to the CFO seminar (Philippines) and got the stamp in her passport. My son is a dual-passport holder. She did not get a stamp for him. Does he need a stamp to leave the country if we show both his passports? We got the Phils passport specifically to avoid having to pay the departure tax. Will this be ok without the CFO stamp in his passport? Please, if someone knows, let me know ASAP. I am not convinced that he even could get a stamp, since he isn't an immigrant and has no visa, but everyone who has given me an answer on every forum seems doubtful. Have any of you exited with a dual citizen US/Philippines child where that child is leaving the Phils for the 1st time, and did you have a CFO stamp in the child's Philippines passport or not?

Hoping one of you knows...they are flying in 15 hours....

You don't have to bust your bank to buy modern looking furniture. Platform beds are usually more expensive. But if you look around you can find totally awesome things for cheap price. Take this uber modern bed. http://tinyurl.com/6bxvo44 Only $160.

Unfortunately, USEM BD cannot issue any interview date because of further visa retrogressed happened in January. I have to wait till visa number be available for my case file.

My visa priority date March/2008 and now DOS processing for Jan/2008. I am hoping that March Visa bulletin will show my date :thumbs:

Guys FYI, My wife received her passport and the infamous brown envelope today by the courier service. basically it took 5 business days to arrive after the interview.

So she is set to fly out on the 30th. She was to busy getting ready for the move that she didnt want to even talk to me. The thanks i get for all the worrying and putting up with her bikkering on why the process is taking so long etc etc.

Like to again thank every one VJ for make this process some what manageable as well as the tips and tricks, TAX Advise .

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.
