Congratulation Bob g on ur SIF!!!

Hello everyone

I called NVC in morning today their system were saying NVC is closed today friday 2011 because of the inclement weather no operator assistant will not be available during this time and blah blah blah, I got so upset after hearing this message. one more day off in NVC.

Then I called NVC again(just for fun) at 3:30 pm PST also spoke to the operator, she said right now they are reviewing package and I should hear something after 2 weeks :o . 2 weeks is just too much. I hope it gets done earlier.

6-8 weeks is their standard time as Loto said. For instant, I had my SIF on 12/14 and when I called NVC on the night of 12/13 the parrot guy was saying that "Sir, it takes 20 days from the date of mailing your package and it has been only 14 days so far....blah blah" .....I was like do hell with your 20 days :D

Loto, I have used ITIN in the past but only did paper filling as the accountant said electronics filling is not possible without SS#. THanks for your advise Loto.

That will be correct, Malvika. Tax software was not intelligent enough to scan ITIN database in the past. I don't know how about it is now.

If your tax filing is simple (without schedules like A, C, D, K1 etc.), you might get free online tax filing for Federal and state.

Mine was not simple for most of the years due to many complications :star:

Congrats, Bob. Today is not a good day for me. I have have an incredible headache which is making me want to rip off my head. But hearing your SiF, I feel a bit happy. I hope rest of your journey goes very quickly. Remember, if you don't get CC by Monday night, you can email Supervisor Sue telling her that the case has been in final review since date x and it needs to be completed. Once you get the CC, you can wait a day or two and send Sue another email asking her to assign the interview date quickly. Let me know if you need either of these email/letter format.

Hope your headache is gone. When our weather here changed from very cold to warm rainy weather, I had a terrible headache, as I usally do in April or May when the warm rainy weather moves in. Sinus pills, Excedrin, and no light for a day or so. Now with it sunny and cold, no headache...

If you are married on or before Dec 31, 2010, you are qualified to file Married Filing Jointly (MFJ) for the year 2010.

You need to file your 1040 MFJ by mailing it to Austin, Texas Address (online filing is NOT possible):

I don't have a computer at home. Well, I do have a work-assigned Lenovo. This this is an expensive beast but all I do with it is VPN into the my workstation at work. Anyways, I think it's probably time I buy a computer for the home. I want a clutterless computer. Mac seems to fit the bill. A 21-incher will be perfect for the bedroom. I could watch movies now and then and work from it too. Now my question, can I VPN into a Windows domain using a MAC.

This thread/board is getting so quiet. How am I going make it through 9 hours of work without VJ posts from now on? :( I have to at least do that until Feb 8th. Afterward see if I care about anyone of you. I'll be hanging out with my wife. :P Probably text her a lot also throughout the day or g-chat all day long. I'm just really bored now. I have some things I need to work on but they aren't due right away. So I'm just working on them on a relaxed pace. I need a really pretty grid-view control for ASP-AJAX site.
