Malvika, Since there is no wink after hot and chilli, I would presume it is regular paratha and some red sauce. Malvika, you're close to Jackson heights :star:

If my wife's POE is on 21-FEB-2011, how soon can she get her SSN. Is it likely she'll get it by April 14th? I wanna do my taxes.

2 weeks after she arrives in USA - walk her down to the SSA office nearby,

apply,

important - ask the clerk to look her up in the save database.

if not found in SAVE database - withdraw the application, walk away - come back during the 3rd week, apply again, ask for SAVE database lookup.

IF NOT FOUND IN SAVE DATABASE then - go to secondary inspection / deferred inspection office of the CBP, see what's wrong with her SAVE database record.

Regardless - 2 days after applying, if all is 'good' - she can return to the local SSA office where she applied, get the SSN number (without the card) - so that should match up with yer tax return goals.

yer CC date is 1/5/2011 - so you should be hearing something soonish - have the USC start bugging NVC via telephone on/about the 21st (Friday) .

I feel energetic now. One of me work buddies bought me a Tuna Subway sandwitch. I went to Kohls again. I spend $105.96 on sale items. Got like 10 different things. Mostly t-shirts. I have a 15% of coupon which I'm saving to use on something else in a day or two. Probably this weekend maybe. I have only spend a few days with my wife and I already know being married is hellishly expensive.

so do you guys think I missed the chance to get an interview date this month? I think I did, but see that some people got interview dates today....sometimes I am so confused, because I keep reading NVC only schedules interviews on the second week of the month :wacko: :wacko:

That's not correct. NVC can schedule interview anytime after the Case completion.

Still NO update on the Visa being issued by the embassy, they really stick to there 5 to 11 business day schedule it seems. :bonk:

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.

11/08/10: AOS package received by NVC; Signed by :N Visa Center,Received email that DS-3032 has been received and accepted & IV Fee Invoiced & Paid. Waiting for processing.

Ha. You have this SAVE database bit memorised. But that's some good advincing there, Lou. Now riddle me this: Since I already ticked the box to have a SSN generated and sent on the DS-230/IV package, would re-applying cause any trouble?
