I take it all back - Malvika you were right on the timing of getting it (note I even got the email from NVC too already!)

Loto congrats - you got the date.

Weirdly enough I am away that weekend on a trip with my mum and sister - we booked Fri to Mon morning as some alone time for us. After we booked it I said to Mum, wouldn't it be typical if I get Feb 14th interview at 8.30am?! And guess what!!!

Hey ho, I don't care, I have my interview!!!! Sorry didn't come on sooner, cracked open the champers to celebrate!!

I mailed off my IV package on the 10th jan and NVC received that on the 11th. I called today and AVR says "they have received checklist response please allow 6 to 8 weeks for the review. Is this mean they have scanned my IV package? If yes, now how long I have to wait for the further process.

Yes, that should be indication of your IV package being scanned into NVC system, now it will take another week (approx) for you to receive SIF followed by CC if you don't have any RFE. Good Luck.

OK guys heres the play by play that i promised.

My wife got to the embassy around 8:15Am ish. She went to Goulds pharmacy and put her phone and keys in the locker,

around 845 went thru security and was waiting for about 30mins for her number to be called up at the first counter.

All she did was turn her passport over and got her finger prints taken and her medical CD was returned to her.

Then she waited almost and hour and half for the second call, where she was given back all the original Civil documents and she was asked these questions after taking the oath,

1. What does you husband do?

2. What do you do?

3. Where do you plan to live?

4. When do you plan to leave for the US?

and that was it.

The CO was very friendly. He told her to expect a visa between 7 to 11 days.

She then proceeded to the Courier desk and paid the fee and left.

she was there for about two and half hours in all, mostly waiting.

Interview on Valentines day that awesome.

I put up a play by play per what the Mrs told me, it was very straight forward. All that worrying i not her did was totally not necessary.

I am here Loto! Just checking out KVP's play by play of his wife's interview which has set my mind at rest (THANKS KVP!)! I think I am actually more scared about the medical this Wednesday!

Had a nice relaxing weekend - have a busy week at work coming up, can't believe it is almost Monday again. Feels good to have booked my flight now and knowing my official leave UK date. Just need to organise my leaving do now!!

12-20-2010 - Checklist received date changes to 20th Dec according to AVRS

01-05-2011 - AVRS changes to missing docs - spoke to NVC who said it was false RFE. I hope so!

01-10-2011 - SIF!!!!!!

01-10-2011 - Case Complete

01-14-2011 - Interview Date Assigned
