It's over folks. The wife is approved. It was short and sweet. Don't know the details but will post review once. But she was only asked my name and the wedding date. They didn't ask for anything else. My wife was the first one interviewed today.

Did any one of you have sent Original of the petitioner Birth Certificate during NVC journey.

I am not sure about including my (petitioner) Birth Certificate with DS-230 package.

Only originals of beneficiary's BC and police certificate

Thank you everyone. Wife arrived at the US embassy in Dhaka at 6:00 AM. But there were people already queuing up since 4:00 AM. At about 7:30 AM, the wife got inside the building. On about 8:00 AM mark, she was called in. She had only one interview from what I can tell. The wife is not giving me too much details. She's eating now and then she will go to the doctor with her mom, for her mom. So it would be quite rude of me to keep her now. So I said she should hurry to the doctor. We'll talk tomorrow. I'll get more details and post here. But looks like the officer was really nice to my wife. I can't blame him. My wife is way too hot for anyone to not me nice to her. One perk of being hot I guess is everyone's nice to you.

Congrats mate, its over for you. Thats awesome, I know how relieved you are. Remember the days of getting annoyed cos the NVC was shut at a weekend!?!

I called the IV Unit at the embassy today - they have issued my visa today, so i should get my passport this week. thankfully.

Good Morning everyone, haven't been here for a while just came back from Morocco, my Husband just got his interview today and he was approved. he mentioned a lot of questions, they wanted details , he should go back on to pick up his visa.

I just want to thank evey one here for their support and help, and good luck to every one still in the process.

Thanks! We got an email from NVC saying that our case has been forwarded to Montreal and it listed our interview date.

Ordinarily, yes...it should be ok. But since we're dealing with the Embassy in Lagos, one still cannot take things for granted.

I still haven't gotten a chance to talk to my wife extensively. So no review of the interview yet. But I'm rather surprised how short the interview was compared to the expectation I was set by a lot of Bangladeshi people who went through the process recently. Someone said the whole interview form a-to-z will take 5/6 hours, with most of it being spent on waiting room. But in reality it took a total of 15 minutes once she got inside the building. Either we got very lucky or I did a wonderful job of pooling together all the documents that there was no doubt left to be scrutinized by the immigration people. One thing I did that many of you didn't do is I didn't front load documents at any step of the way. I provided the barest of minimum of documents to both USCIS and NVC. The only extra thing I ever include were the cover letters for AOS and IV package. I didn't have a cover letter for I130 package. And I included a copy of my passport with the AOS package which wasn't required. Well not if you are the petitioners and you are the sole supporter for the sole beneficiary. Oh well! This journey is almost over. All that is left is to the POE step. By God, I hope that can also be down within 3/4 months.

I would like to thank everyone for your support, help, and encouragement. But honestly speaking I consider you all too much of my family to have to give thanks. You don't thank your family and your family doesn't do thing for you to get thanks. So bro's and sis's no thank necessary. You're my familia. I expect all that you did all over again if I had to go through this again. Likewise, I hope I can help you in any manner possible.
