Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know How long US customs takes to clear the mail?

I am waiting for the Doc from the India, my Husband mailed me (DS-230 package) on the 24th Dec via speed post. I checked with the USPS with the tracking #,they are telling me it did got in the USA and it is in the customs.

Congrats guys on the approvals!!! Were counting the days for our interview, wish theyd speed up.

Not to Beat a dead horse!!! Could please every one using the NVC Tracker please update it !!!!!.

Again Congrats to everyone that is moving on with life and for the others that are on pause myself included, hang in there!!!!

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.

Oh. So tht means my case was not sent yet sinc Mumbai is the embassy where my case would be heading.

For DHL tracking

I used EXP 30 DEC 2010A and found Mumbai, India too.

Your tracking # is 9361592435. Look at the page 3 second row :)

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

What does AVRS saying about your DOC sent? I mean What date? As far as i know it takes few days to send USEM after NVC scheduled interview date. Check your AVRS status, it should tells you the date NVC has sent out.

Overall the experience at the consulate was good. The appointment was at 1 pm and was done by 3:30 pm. Everything went smoothly without any problems. The consulate asked my husband if he spoke English and he said a little bit. The next question he asked was when is the last time you spoke with your wife and he told him 4 hours ago. He then asked where will you live in the US and my husband said the city and state. The next question was what did you do for work in Greece and my husband told him. The last question he asked was if he has any pictures of the house in the US and my husband said yes in the photo albums. The embassy was not too busy and everyone was very nice.

I don't know how many days it take for customs clearance. But I feel you should have it soon. Delay may be the holiday season as well.

Check with Operator, AVRS should updated if you're package already left NVC on Jan, 03/2011.
