My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

Update on case:

Called NVC today after the AVR changed to 'NVC reviewed and found docs missing'. I literally freaked out and called NVC straight away - thought I was going to be sick. The operator told me that it looks like it is false as they are just waiting for my RFE to be reviewed and have had the documents in the system since 20th Dec. She gave me the usual it hasn't been 20 business days yet so I really hope I get SIF by the end of the week.

I was beginning to think NVC had forgotten about me and my husband so I am hoping that change to the AVR is a positive one and that we are almost there.

Congrats to all on your interview dates and latest SIFs. Hope I can join your celebrations soon - time is a dragging for me right now!!

786india, were you able to track your DHL package from NVC to USEM?

I used Jan 03, 2010 date and it was showing one package for that day for my country and I believe that is mine :D

Lilu, yes, that's false RFE. You should be done with SIF and CC in a week time. Also, U.K interview will happen in 1 to 1.5 months time after NVC CC. So, you can expect interview date just after Feb middle.

Thanks for that confirmation - sometimes you need someone to give advice as you get so swelled up with stress about it. I hope to complete within a week also. I am really pleased to see that 1 - 1.5 month wait for UK embassy seems pretty standard on VJ, a Feb interview would make my day!!

I though we r suppose to put EXP 03 JAN 2011A for Shipper's Reference if thts the case unfortunately I do not see India nor Nepal. Not sure if I am on right track. btw, did AVRs change
