Only a week left 'till my wife's interview. In US's time, the interview will be at 9 PM, EST, on Sunday, January 9th. Hopefully it will go smoothly and there won't be any trouble. I cannot deal with any trouble now. Anyways, happy new years. May this year bring everyone all the blessings you deserve and even more.

Speaking of blessing, I did attend a webcam wedding on Saturday night. The guy is here in US and the girl in Bangladesh. Webcam marriage are so weird. But it's still a wedding. The wife signed the marriage contract and the husband is waiting for the FedEX truck to bring the contract to US so he can sign it. It's none of my business but could he apply for his wife now. I mean it is a legal marriage and there is no law in America or Bangladesh that states that would-be husband and wife have to be within certain physical proximity for the marriage to be valid. So do opine on this matter both on the legal sense and on the morality of webcam marriage. Quite interesting subject matter, IMO.

My mother is doing a little better. She said her leg weighs a tonne and her arm, two tonnes. That, I am hoping, means she's getting more of her strength back in her leg. And hands will follow soon. I cannot help be mention one beautiful woman who has been helping my mother a lot. I hope you'll excuse my rambling. She is Khan's wife. Khan works for my father. Khan and his wife visit my mother often at the hospital. Khan's mother and his wife's mother also had stroke. So Khan's wife has excellent experiences regarding the massage technique for people with hemiparesis. This woman not only cooks food for us, but she massages my mother's right side. After which, mom says the weight on her right side just melts away. Khan's wife is not doing this because she wants Khan to continue to be employed. She's just a wonderful, wonderful person. A beautiful person within and without. And her two children, I swear, are the most social and wonderful kids I have ever met in my life. Like adults they shake everyone's hands when they meet people, say their salaams, thank yous, etc. You just want to stir them in banana parfait and eat them whole. They're that cute. They're also only 3 and 4 years old. I don't even know the lady's name. But I wish upon her the whole world and its bounties.

And to everyone here, congrats on your progress and patience on your waiting. Don't stress too much. It's all going to work out in the end.

Indigo,

The webcam marriage seems lil weird to me as well :D but since it's a legal and both the parties sign the contract I don't think they won't be able to file I-130, not sure though

Concerning your wifey's interview in a week, I wish you all the best for a nice and smooth interview. Also I'm glad to know that your mother is making progress each day. Great !
