Hello everyone,

I called NVC today (Dec 23rd) and operator over the phone said they have received something on the 16th Dec but they cannot tell what it is.

I called NVC earlier like last Thursday (Dec 16th) to check AVR it changed to "NVC is still waiting for the biographic form from the petitioner" from "NVC has sent package 3 if you don't receive within 6 weeks call NVC" something like that after that, I spoke to the operator it was the lady, she said they have received something (mail) but she cannot tell me what it is and I told her I have sent I-864 AOS package last week after my reply she said that means they are reviewing your AOS package.

The part I am confused about is, if they don't know what they have received how they can tell (NVC) your package is being review.

If AVR saying "NVC is still waiting for the biographic form from the petitioner" does that mean they have scanned my AOS Package.

Please help

Merry Christmas everyone - I am just about to go out into the snow to sing carols at the local carol service, drink some mulled wine and spend some honoured time with my family and friends - just think next Christmas most of us will be joined by our loved ones.

A beautiful thought and one to get us through... Love to all those apart from their husbands/wives this year.

NB: I got to my parents and they have made a mask of my husbands face, stuck it on a large teddy bear and set it on a chair at the family dining table! So he will be joining us for Christmas after all - :P . A great thought by them to help me cope!

Merry Christmas!!! Everyone, hope every one is in good spirits and enjoying the holidays.

NVC

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.

11/08/10: AOS package received by NVC; Signed by :N Visa Center,Received email that DS-3032 has been received and accepted & IV Fee Invoiced & Paid. Waiting for processing.

11/12/10: IV package mailed USPS express.

11/15/2010: IV package recieved by NVC.

11/19/10: AOS entered into System.

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

Happy holidays and a prosperous new year to everyone.

There is only 14 days left 'till my lovely wife gets to interview for her VISA to America. In about 15 hours or so from now, she is going to have her medical exam done. So this is two weeks' mark. Whatever that means. I hope everyone is moving right along in this journey. Keep at it and it will come to an end eventually. Sometimes it may seem hopeless but for the most part it works out.

As for my lovely mother, she is doing a little better after her stroke. She can walk with a staff. She is still dragging and limping. But she's making slight progress every day. But she gets emotional especially for my little brother. She was crying and asked me to take care of him. I was so perplexed. She is well on her way to recovery and shouldn't be crying now. But I suppose mothers' love for their offspring is undeniable. Thanks everyone for your encouragement and prayers. You have no idea how many times I was stilling here at my office crying only to stop crying after reading your comment about your prayers for my mother and my family. Every good wishes will return to you 70 folds over. :)

Progress is the key word for your Mother's situation. A little each day. Having family nearby

Hope everyone is doing well while enduring the wait for the CC's and the interviews.

Indigo - I am happy each time I read your posts and see that your Mom is improving every day. It is a time-consuming recovery. My Dad had a stroke about 22 years ago and he was able to make a FULL recovery but it took about 17 months. Like your Mom, each day was a bit better than the previous one. Hang in there - your Mom will be back to normal in time.

Me - I am snowed in completely here in Long Island. We got the brunt of the storm. There are 8 foot drifts blocking the 2 exits from my house. Thankfully, I am able to work from home and I also stocked up on food yesterday when I went to the supermarket. My house is warm and cozy so I can't complain too much :)
