i've sent emails to the consulate and called them. they told me that they received the case and sent it back the same day, without opening or reviewing, because they got notice from the NVC/USCIS to do so.

i found a bunch of others on here whose cases were sent back on the same day. i find it odd that so many people had the same thing happen on the same day. so im hoping its just an error on their part...

11/01/10 - AOS fee bill shown as paid

11/03/10 - rec'd IV fee bill

11/09/10 - AOS package sent overnight FedEx

11/10/10 - AOS package rec'd -signed for by G.PETERS

11/22/10 - AOS package entered into system (took 8 days from the time it was delivered)

11/??/10 - IV package entered into system

11/24/10 - Case Complete due to expedite request

11/26/10 - Sent to USEM Paris -- case was expedited

** "little setback" **

12/01/2010 - called the embassy and found out that our case was returned to NVC, unopened, unreviewed, dont know why.

have been contacting NVC, embassy, USCIS, and DoS daily, as of 12/15 our case is in no one's system. waiting for answers..

I just got some interesting infromation from NVc today. As I previously posted, I sent an email to NVC asking that both of my in-laws cases be scheduled for an interview on the same day. For some reason that was interpreted as an expedite request. The request was forwarded to Juarez on the 17. It was also resent today because Juarez still had not replied. I asked the operator what was going on with the mail that was received on the 7th and the 13th. She said that once they receive an expedite request they do nothing else to the case until the expedite is either approved or denied. She said that if the expedite was approved that it would be ALOT faster but she doesnt know how long Juarez will take to reply. So now I am sruggling with the decision as to whether to wait for the response for an expedite request or to cancel that out (via email) and go on with normal processing. I asked what would happen if several days passed and Juarez hadnot replied to the email. She said that they would send out another email. So now, decisions decisions

Now that my husband is a citizen, we are preparting documents to apply to bring his parents here.

10/06/10: Approval Date

NVC

10/12/10: NVC Case# generated

10/22/10: Updated both email ids. DS-3032 e-mailed

10/26/10: IIN Received. AOS fee IN PROCESS. Emailed barcoded

10/30/10: AOS fee PAID, AOS package mailed

11/03/10: IV fee PAID, IV package mailed

12/07/10: RFE for I-864 Entered into System

12/13/10: RFE for DS-230 entered into system

Since i read your post, i figured out something what is going on at NVC. My request has been sent on 12/15, also malvika's too but havent gotten response back from consulate office yet. Its mean our Lovely SUE is in vacation..........:bonk: So she hasn't chance to look at our email response. I dont think so Embassy will take that long to response our request. Well...our response wont reply until monday :star:

i sent out a request monday. they told me i should get a response wednesday. when i called wednesday they said to wait 10-15 days .. my consulate answers immediately! so i definitely think youre right, miami_boy. and when i call and request to talk to a supervisor they say theyre all busy.. hmmmm,,

What I figured out from my 2 months long cruise at NVC is when you send an email with the subject line "Attn: Supervisor Sue" will be considered as expedite request regardless of what email is requesting for. So be careful while sending an email to "Sup Sue".

Like Miami_boy said above I had sent a request to squeez me in January interview list to NVC on 12/17 and haven't heard anything back yet. I guess I will receive a snail mail from NVC sometimes later saying your consulate denied your expedite request rofl.gif

Well I don't have any specific format for request. You can just request them. It will be better if you have some valid reason to request for speedy interview.

I am wondering whether NVC forwards your case to embassy after CC or after interview date assigned?

After they schedule interview for our case.

hey guys, I just came across someone in other thread that he got his interview date email (packet 4) today. His case was completed on 12/21.

So it means NVC schedules interview also in the third week of the month.

I want my P4 email please :D
