NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

I spoke to the NVC operator almost everyday. There is no embassy in Iran and my wife needs to go to USE in Ankara, Turkey. Seems they are busy.

It's funny that USE in Ankara is close to public for the last two weeks of Dec.

I checked their website for December schedules and it seems that they did not scheduel any IR1/CR1 interview for December.

Anyway, I hope we get it for Feb.

It's weird that they didn't schedule any IR1/CR1 interview for December. Damn ! our consulate website even doesn't have interview schedule list. So sad

WHATTTT?? Just listened to the AVRS and the date has changed for when they received the checklist response????

Last week it said it was received 15th Dec and now it has changed to the 20th Dec? How can this be? I don't understand?

I am totally gutted.... there goes my christmas present of CC.

Think I will have to call them later and find out what the heck they are playing at, not fair NVC, this is just not fair....

How many packet had you sent to NVC recently?

It's better to check with operators rather than trusting on AVR.

AVR sometimes gives false informations. Good Luck for your CC.

RFE takes about 20 days of delivery date of the mail room. Dont trust on AVRS/Email at this point. Just call NVC operator, only they can see more details than Email/AVRS.

I hope this sort of answer will help little bit.

note: mine RFE took exact 20 days from the date of RFE mail delivered.

AVRS is not always reliable talk to an operator instead to confirm. Good luck

Since you had two RFEs, it seems to me that they are taking lil longer to review them. But you should have your SIF now any time soon. Good Luck.

Thanks for thr reassurance guys. My RFE's were silly. One I forgot to sign and 2 the passport copy wasnt clear enough. OH well, maybe soon.

I hear you! Mine too! Spoke to a not very helpful person at NVC who has said that the RFE has not been reviewed yet. I sent one packet back in Nov but the AVRS said that had been received on 3rd Dec then a second was sent and the AVRS said it had been received 15th Dec. AVRS changed to 20th today for a reason that the NVC operator could not explain. They are definitely slowing down as Christmas draws closer.

Thank goodness for my final english family christmas is keeping me busy and will do for the next week - hopefully by then I will now a bit more and you will have your SIF too!!

still no news about my case. still calling every day. still not received at either the NVC or USCIS. its now been 3 weeks.

i put in a request with a supervisor and i guess theyre looking for our case. they said they emailed the embassy to find out what day they sent the case back. i already told them what day it was sent back.

ive found numerous other people here on VJ whose cases were requested back to the USCIS on the same exact day as ours so i think that its something they did, not us. but they still wont tell us anything.

so i was wondering, while all of this is going on, does my husband have the right to come to the US with the visa waiver program? and, can we just start over with the K3 visa instead? or do they first have to cancel this or what?..

What can i say, it took me 1 month and 10 days for NVC to locate my case file. I heard that NVC receive 3000-5000 mail every week. Check with USCIS website, see any LUDS on your case number( USCIS receipt number). I would rather to check that too.

Did you register with USCIS for case status? If you have account with them, you need to log into your account and see any date changes on your case number. Sometime it doesn't show website because of data loss packet.

it means USCIS haven't receive your case yet. Keep praying and checking with both offices.

You may also send an email to your consulate office, see what they reply!!!!!!!!!
