786india - That's really strange man. Both ours RFE was entered on 12/08 and you've still not gotten SIF ! Did you speak with a supervisor at NVC? What are they saying? Well again, each case is different at NVC. Your should be at final review now. I hope you will get your SIF/CC together by this evening. Good Luck.

I called yesterday but did not speak to a supervisor it is still under review n to call after 20 business days from the date I sent the mail. Lets see may be today thy will complete the review. If I do not get SIF by tonight I'll speak to a supervisor.

Hi Ladydare, I have a question for you.

When does NVC forward our case file to USEM abroad?

Is it after they schdule the interview?

Case is forwarded to USEM after an interview date has been set and appointment letter drafted and sent.

Citizenship next step!

Yes, you defenitely should speak to a supervisor if you don't get it by tonite. That friggin 20 business days is all BS. You know what when I spoke to an operator during afternoon the day I had my SIF, she told me the same thing. Sir, It takes 20 business days. you have to allow sometime to NVC to review your information.....................#######........

Great info. Thanks Lady.

BTW do you think our interviews can also be scheduled during the third week of a month?

When I was exploring about the interview dates last night. I found our own "Svenkatc" whose interview was scheduled at the end of November and got interview for Jan. I missed my January interview just by couple of days. This friggin RFE killed my whole month. Otherwise I would have gotten an interview for first week of January.

Loto and Svenkat must have having good times with their loved ones :D

malvika,

yes! you have possibility to have chance get schedule by end of this month. I also assuiming that IR1/CR1 case different than F2A. Since IR1/CR1 no need visa number, they can able to schedule your interview at any time. I would suggest you to send an email to your USEM, See what they reply to you. You could request toward end of Jan to an early feb :)

M_B - I do not think that IR1/CR1 cases are different from F2A in terms of scheduling an interview if the visa number is already available for F2A case. I know IR1/CRI don't need a visa number but again each embassy has certain capacity to conduct immigrant visa interview and per NVC operators interviews are scheduled only during the first two weeks of each months.

BTW, I have already sent an email to my Embassy, but haven't got response yet. Lets see ! It's hard to wait until the first week of January for that plain and simple interview date....Gizzzzzzzz

malvika,

The different between IR1/CR1 and F2A, USEM can request forward IR1/CR1 case from the NVC, USEM cannot request for F2A even visa number is available. F2A has to be go through normal procedure, Thats the reason my expedite request sent to USEM for Approval. Other hand, INDIGO expedite request was approved by NVC, which was only took less than 48 hours.:star:

note: INDIGO's request sent on 12/2 & received Packe-4 on 12/3, Bangladesh USEM close on both dates.

I sent my expedite interview email to Supervisor Sue on 02-DEC-2010. An interview date was assigned on 03-DEC-2010. I didn't know that an interview date was assigned on 03-DEC-2010 until 06-DEC2010. My mother had stroke that weekend. And immigration was the last thing on my mind. Even now, it's not too much in my mind. All I want now is for my mother to get 100% better soon. She's making slow progress each passing day. I cannot wait until she starts walking again. Then I will feel any bit celebratory. Even though today is my birthday, I'm very depressed. I just want my mother doing everything she does, including yelling at me sometimes. Appreciate your parents while you can. Because they're the reason you are here and you are their biggest achievement in their lives.
