10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

So, tht means thy r processing 12/8 and 12/9s today. I shld get SIF sometime today.

Yes exactly you should get it by today. But I suggest you to call NVC and speak with an operator now.

Busy at work - retail holiday season. I do not get much time to post a lot but I do try to help where I can.

The wife will take the medical either next week Tuesday or Wednesday - she do not want to go on a Monday as it will be too busy. Then 2 weeks after that will be the interview.

The final steps are always the most nerve wrecking as you know that you are almost there & just want things to me over. :P

BTW, how soon can we go for medical after getting the interview schedule? Does it have to be only before 2 weeks or can it be before 3 or 4 weeks too?

I just spoke to an operator she told me its currently under review. So, I shld get SIF by 2night. btw, did u get CC same day?

Thank u every1 4 being there if it wasn't 4 u guys this journey wuld have been more difficult.

I wuld never rely on a single operator. I think u shld check everyday.

Some people have been taking the medical as soon as they get their NOA2 - using/substituting the NOA2 for the interview letter.I too was planning to do that but decided to wait.

I do not know for your consulate but for my wife consulate the medical is good for 6 months - meaning that they can take the medical up to 6 months before the interview, but I do not think that this is a wise idea, it is better to take the medical closer to the interview.

I would say it is ideal to have the medical done within 1 or 1 1/2 months to the interview.
