Worst comes worst u'll get early feb interview. I doubt tht u will get March interview.

Dhaka embassy is the worst embassy in our region. They count everybody in same way. bad reputation among bangladeshi's at us embassy. Lots of bangladeshi have been caught by submit fraud DV lottery. Since then embassy is strick about their decision. I thought NVC will review the request, i didn't know they will forward to dhaka embassy. Now i can sure that it will reject..

Interview Update:

I just spoke to an operator & she confirmed me that they have received my interview expedite process, They already forward to the Dhaka US embassy. Embassy will make decision either they will approve or denied! Usually there is no timeframe for that. Also informed me that NVC have finished with scheduling interview for January. So, I have to wait for the another month to get interview date for February or March!! #######

I have seen many people getting their interview schdule at the end or last week of the month. That's something like saying 6-8 weeks standard time.

Since you sent an request to US embassy, how long does it takes to get answer from them?

It took not more than couple of days to hear back from them.

among some other posts. it seems that quite a few people have been effected around the end of November. Can't be just coincidence, can it?

Also thinking, thats around the time that the whole wikileaks story came out (Nov 29th) .. possible that could have triggered something?

Or there's just some sort of error happening at some level and they just dont want to tell us anything.

yesterday when i called I spoke to a lady who, after asking "whats the status of my case" she said that "if the case was returned to the NVC due to an error on their part then they will fix it and send the case back to the embassy". im hoping it doesnt get sent all the way back to the USCIS. we've already wasted more than two weeks just for them to receive the stupid thing.

i dont want to just sit here idle and wait. i need to do something.

i contacted my senator's office. the NVC gave him the same info as they gave me. didn't get it back yet. senator said theres nothing more that he can do until they receive it.

embassy said that they received our expedited case on Dec 1st and didn't even get a chance to open it or review it, they got a notice from the NVC telling them to return the case and did so the same day without even looking at our case.

i still dont get it. we're still in the dark. and im still bummed.

suggestions/educated guesses/etc. are always welcome. "

USCIS didn't take long for my case, NVC sent on 9/3 & I received an email from USCIS on 9/10 & 9/20 they reaffirmed my case sent to the NVC. NVC did not updated my case until 10/28 sigh....

USCIS does not take as long as NVC does to process the mail. Remember it takes only a week for USCIS to receive our I-130 docs and send us the receipt. For NVC it's usually taking 9-12 days to process the mail, but I believe NVC will go much faster starting January 2011 because they won't have as many as cases to process due to the retrogression (I believe so)

if anything, this journey has been a learning process. and its brought my husband and i closer. its funny, when you have to fight with administrations just to be with the one you love, you start to appreciate them that much more. now if only i could learn to be patient.. ha!
