My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

01/17/11 - Medical done ! Passed

01/25/11 - Re-scheduled the interview for Feb 1 @ 1:00 PM

02/01/11 - Interview @ 1:00 PM - Approved :)

02/03/11 - Visa picked up from USEM

02/12/11 - POE @ JFK

I just spoke with an NVC operator about having them close our case, and bringing the police cert to the interview, she said they couldn't do that...I also emailed supervisor sue to see what she says....guess it's worth a shot....If not, looks like we just sent ourselves back a few more weeks, since mail from morocco takes almost 2 weeks :crying:

unfortunately, no.

found out some stuff, but its all just speculation, really. nothing concrete yet. its been two weeks now since the embassy sent our case back and neither the NVC nor the USCIS has received anything yet. we're going crazy over here. i did find this though:

among some other posts. it seems that quite a few people have been effected around the end of November. Can't be just coincidence, can it?

Also thinking, thats around the time that the whole wikileaks story came out (Nov 29th) .. possible that could have triggered something?

Or there's just some sort of error happening at some level and they just dont want to tell us anything.

yesterday when i called I spoke to a lady who, after asking "whats the status of my case" she said that "if the case was returned to the NVC due to an error on their part then they will fix it and send the case back to the embassy". im hoping it doesnt get sent all the way back to the USCIS. we've already wasted more than two weeks just for them to receive the stupid thing.

i dont want to just sit here idle and wait. i need to do something.

i contacted my senator's office. the NVC gave him the same info as they gave me. didn't get it back yet. senator said theres nothing more that he can do until they receive it.

embassy said that they received our expedited case on Dec 1st and didn't even get a chance to open it or review it, they got a notice from the NVC telling them to return the case and did so the same day without even looking at our case.

i still dont get it. we're still in the dark. and im still bummed.

suggestions/educated guesses/etc. are always welcome.

10/28/10 - Rec'd IIN & DS-3032 & AOS fee bill

10/28/10 - sent DS-3032

11/01/10 - AOS fee bill shown as paid

11/03/10 - rec'd IV fee bill

11/03/10 - paid IV fee bill

11/14/10 - IV fee bill shown as paid

11/09/10 - AOS package sent overnight FedEx

11/10/10 - AOS package rec'd -signed for by G.PETERS

11/22/10 - AOS package entered into system (took 8 days from the time it was delivered)

11/16/10 - IV package sent

11/18/10 - IV package rec'd -signed for by J.DESMOND

11/??/10 - IV package entered into system

11/24/10 - Case Complete due to expedite request

11/26/10 - Sent to USEM Paris -- case was expedited

** "little setback" **

12/01/2010 - called the embassy and found out that our case was returned to NVC, unopened, unreviewed, dont know why.

have been contacting NVC, embassy, USCIS, and DoS daily, as of 12/15 our case is in no one's system. waiting for answers..

Consulate

11/30/10 - Consulate received

??/??/?? - Consulate scheduled interview

??/??/?? - Packet4 received from Consulate

??/??/?? - Medical visit

??/??/?? - INTERVIEW

??/??/?? - receive passport by mail

Hoping for late December / early January interview? please?

oh, actually i just found out that they entered my rfe on the 7th...my wife was the one calling the NVC but she didn t really pay attention to the date they received my checklist.I just assumed it was the 8th cause she called on the 9th...which means, i should get SIF today hopefully...

I don't think so. If your RFE was entered on 12/07, you should have gotten your SIF this morning like asad did. blink.gif

No no I am pure Indian by birth tyasma k hi doubt chaina. Don't get paranoid, its not only you sathi, there are other couples too who are suffering. I started enjoying this distance relationship now.

I just spoke to an operator & she confirmed me that they have received my interview expedite process, They already forward to the Dhaka US embassy. Embassy will make decision either they will approve or denied! Usually there is no timeframe for that. Also informed me that NVC have finished with scheduling interview for January. So, I have to wait for the another month to get interview date for February or March!! ####### :crying:

US CITIZENSHIP

12-20-2012: SENT N-400 APPLICATION

12-21-2012: RECEIVED N-400 APPLICATION

12-27-2012: CHECK CASHED

12-28-2012: NOA RECEIVED

01-08-2013: BIO-METRIC COMPLETED

01-14-2013: INTERVIEW IN LINE FOR SCHEDULED

04-10-2013: INTERVIEW SCHEDULE AT 7:30 AM, TAMPA OFFICE...APPROVED:)))

04-23-2013: OATH CEREMONY AT TAMPA 1 PM...FINALLY USC.....

I think your prayers will be answered Dhaka embassy will approve your request. I think bc u have a strong reason abt your son.

Worst comes worst u'll get early feb interview. I doubt tht u will get March interview.
