My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

01/17/11 - Medical done ! Passed

01/25/11 - Re-scheduled the interview for Feb 1 @ 1:00 PM

02/01/11 - Interview @ 1:00 PM - Approved :)

02/03/11 - Visa picked up from USEM

02/12/11 - POE @ JFK

Hey Everybody, i have a quick question:-

we finally got our email RFE checklist and i was wondering we just print it all and have the barcode sheet on top and then have our response(ds-230 part 1) attached and that's it, right?...no need to make our own checklist of what we're sending too since it already in the checklist letter anyway, right?

Yes, if you have the checklist cover letter sent by NVC you don't neccessarily need to make yours own. Good to go. Do not forget to put NVC case # on top right corner of every pages of each documents (excep the bar coded sheet). Good Luck

Update on mother: She's been transfered to rehab center last Friday. Today, she was able to take 30 steps with assistance and walker stick. Please continue to have her your du'a, prayers, and thoughts. My and my family's world has turned upside down without our completely well mother. Thanks everyone. I just want my mother back to normal soon.

I'm glad she's recovering Indigo, I'll keep having her in my du'a! insh'Allah she'll be back to normal so soon :)

Man I am having a rough day. Does anyone get swept away with emotion? - frustration, upset, despair at times being away from their loved ones? I thought I was holding up well but recently I seem to be falling apart. This whole process is exhausting me and every day I ring in hope that our RFE has been entered and case closed. I am so tired of living a separate life from my husband and I know our time will come over the next few months but somedays (like today) I get so lonely and sad.

Please NVC, please hurry up and enter my RFE. I want my case complete before Xmas but I am losing hope....it is the only thing I want for Christmas this year (apart from actually seeing my husband which is impossible!!)

H_Apollo - any updates from USCIS or NVC?

Malvika - got my fingers crossed for your SIF coming early next week - it is dragging on too long now.

M_B - I am truly hoping and praying that it is not a real RFE for you.

I know what you're going through, i think everyone in the process does, i am tired of every time my husband leaves and we're both so upset, i go like hey it's just two months honey, just two months, then we'll be together and everything will be ok, and sometimes knowing you're just lying to yourself it's not two months, it hasn't been two months, you've been saying that for way too long to believe it! You just have to try and act strong and holding up and that you actually believe it's onlyyy two month, cause your other half is breaking down in tears, and you're holding them and crying silently so they wouldn't hear you cause you know just how they feel as you feel the same, but try and keep strong for your hubby, You can't both break down at the same time, Try and keep strong and have faith that you'll be together soon, and that it'll end someday, As you know from before our Anniversary is on early February, and i hope to God we are together by then, i don't wanna miss anymore of our lives together, i'm gonna miss his birthday this month, just hopefully not more! Goodluck to you and to everyone of us!

Nope no updates yet. Last Fri whn I called NVC my case was under review. I could still sign in this morning. So, I guess its not reviewed yet. I am right behind u guys so 1's u guys get SIF I'll get SIF. Malvika may be u can try calling NVC after lunch n get an update tht way we can all get idea on wht's going on. I plan to call NVC 2nite.

I am glad to hear u deserve relief after all the stress from fake RFE over the weekend. Insh'Allah u'll have SIF 2day. 1's u have it my chances of getting it r greater. :thumbs:
