Lilu,

I agree with what you have said. It's really tough living apart from our loved ones. Every single minute seems a whole year. But it is what it is. Most of us are going or have gone through the same situation. We need patience, motivation and positive energy at this tough time. Once we get this thing over we won't have time to look back and feel the ups and downs of this moment.

Since you have sent your RFE on 12/07, it should be entered sometimes next week. Now you are very close to SIF and CC. I am 99.99% sure that your case will be closed before the Xmas.

Good Luck and be happy ! :)

malvika,

I felt like cry when i was reading your post. Yes it is what it is. we have to deal with this one more time again with more patience. Our wedding anniversary just right before x-mas eve 12/23. I thought it's gonna be surprise anniversary for us!

All plan will be vanished in a moment if i will hear NVC need more staff from me in monday morning.

I'm in pain, pain & pain..

M_B, hope NVC doesn't need anything else from you now. Concerning the photocopies of civil documents if they demand them you can request them that you will submit the photocopies at the time of interview, but most likely they won't do so. Hey, do not panic, do not lose your hope. Have faith on your effort and your devotion and your prayers. You won't be in trouble.

Thanks Malvika, your words def made sense. I know it is what we signed up for when we fell in international love, it just grates on you as time goes on. Perhaps it is because we are closing in on the finishing time that time seems to slow and things don't seem to happen. I also forget that we waited 5 months with USCIS! As the holiday season approaches I will concentrate on being with my family for my last Christmas here in England.

M_B: I know how you feel. When we got our RFE I just wanted to sit in a corner and cry. Hopefully it is a silly mistake by NVC. Our first wedding anniversary is in early Feb and I hoped to be moved over to the states in time for it however I dont think it will be possible now. I feel your pain. Like I have for H_Apollo I hope hope hope it works out quickly for you.

Update on mother: She's been transfered to rehab center last Friday. Today, she was able to take 30 steps with assistance and walker stick. Please continue to have her your du'a, prayers, and thoughts. My and my family's world has turned upside down without our completely well mother. Thanks everyone. I just want my mother back to normal soon.

Hey everyone, hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Sorry I haven't been around. Been spending time with hubby..we're both really depressed..trying to make the most of the rest of my time here before I have to go back to the US..trying to figure out what's going on and what we're going to do next..

I'll post more in the morning, pretty sick/exhausted/etc at the moment..you know how it is.

Still no news from NVC or USCIS. But did find several people on here who's cases were sent back at the same time. And around the same time of the wikileaks scandal. Possible connection? Just speculating, desperate for any sort of answer.. I'll post the link in the morning..

Indigo, glad your mom is recovering.

'night everyone.

Hi everyone...I haven't been around much now that we're just waiting for the interview. This is the busiest time of the year for me at work and am working 10-12 hour days. I booked my flight to Lagos and will be leaving on 1/24 to be with my husband that week.

Indigo, I'm very relieved that your Mom is making progress. Even if it's slow, she's getting stronger every day! I will continue to keep her in my prayers.

H-Apollo, I'm sorry that there have been no answers for you yet. I can only imagine the frustration and helplessness you and your husband must be feeling. The coming weeks will give you the answers; you guys just have to stay strong for each other and not let it affect your relationship. This is a certain setback but it's not the end and at least you guys have each other to lean on. I hope and pray it's something minor; I'm sure it is but I know it's the "not knowing" that's eating you up...try for each others sake to enjoy the holidays together....this will all be behind you soon.

Malvika and M_B - Just hang in there...your SIF's and CC's are right around the corner!

Has anyone heard from Loto? I would think not as he has his wife and daughter to occupy his time now! :)

Hope everyone is keeping positive...by this time next month, we should all have interview dates (and a few will have already had their interviews!)

Have a great week, everyone!!!!!

UPDATE ON CASE:

Today is sunday, I just received an email from NVC which is stated that I missed photographs of my wife & child. I am def sure this is false RFE. Because I already submitted those photos & NVC confirmed me on 12/10 that they have received my mail on 12/06 which was under review.

Is any one has similar experience.

My mom has a lot of plan when my wife gets here. She wants to throw a party. She already bought big pots to cook even though she said we could cater everything. She wants to at least cook something. By the time my wife has interview, I pray that my mother will be complete well. Her physical therapy starts today. Saturday and Sunday, it was basically assessment of her conditions. So please everyone, have my mother in your prayers. This is going to sound cliche but when we have something we don't appreciate it. But when it's gone, we realise what we lost. This is how I feel about everything my mother does. From now on, I'm going to be appreciative of everything. My mother, my father especially. Parents are the one who brought us to this world. Appreciate them and become good parents yourself.

Whatever trouble you are going through with NVC, I pray from the core of my soul that it gets resolved and you are united with your loved one soon. Pray that there is no hitch for my immigration journey. I cannot bear any hitch now.

Hi MB,

I've been following your timeline closely as yours were similar to mine (with photo missing). I was getting better update from you than NVC!!

Anyway, wanted to give you something in return as I got SIF when I tried to sign in this morning (Didn't try all weekend).

Disclaimer: I'm on IR5 for both parents.

I'm too lazy to type everything out, but here is the relevant info.

11/8 AOS sent USPS Priority

11/10 AOS delivery confirm

11/16 IV sent USPS Priority

11/18 IV delivery confirm

11/16 Photos sent USPS certified firstclass (figured I give NVC time to get the IV packet first)

Photos were sent taped to barcode page with post it notes, no elaborate cover letter explanation.

11/22 Photo delivery confirm

12/1 AVR Said Checklist letter response received. I don't know which, but assuming IV package.

12/3 AVR Said Checklist letter response received. I'm assuming it's photos.

12/6 Called NVC, confirmed AOS accepted, and that IV scanned but not reviewed. No detail info regarding photo.

12/10 Called NVC, same info as above.

12/10 Received checklist email for missing DS-230. Talk about slow...

12/13 SIF.

Since your photo were received 2 days (I think) later than mine, I think you should get SIF within the next 2 days.

Good luck All!
