It all depends on Bucharest embassy. I dont think they are soooooooo busy, or maybe too busy refusing tourist visas!! lol. :rofl: Ladydare i cant find my peace until i dont know the date... I keep on opening mail & nothing. Someone said they are squedueling until 12 Dec, that is Saturday... Does NVC work on weekend?????? :blink:

I know what you mean. I called NVC this morning no interview date scheduled yet was told to call back by the 16th to see if I made January schedule. She also said they are looking to fit me in for January but so far nothing scheduled yet. I hope it gets scheduled soon hopefullt by EOD. I can't stand not knowing. So close yet still far away.

glad to hear, indigo. keep on keepin' on. your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am at the hospital with my mother now. She was sitting up on the chair since 0700 hours. It's 1200 hours now. She will be discharged from this hospital today and admitted to a physical therapy rehab. Isn't it good news that they are confident she had made enough improvement to not be in hospital anymore? I think so. Please keep my mother in your du'a, prayers, thoughts. I assure you no matter what troubles you in life, mostly NVC/immigration, it will all work out at the end, eventually. Just keep at it. Remember to utilise your senators, congresspersons, Supervisor Sue, and Department of State headquarter contacts. You can also use Department of Homeland Security headquarters. May God give peace and solace to all.

If NVC says your document has been scanned then that means it's entered into NVC system for reviewal. Concerning the retrogression thing you can also try speaking with DOS. I don't know the phone number but you can dig it I guess.

I just trying to find out what exactly time frame between mail scanned and SIF?

It totally depends on NVC work load. Now a days, it's taking (in average) 8 days for NVC to complete review after scanning the documents.

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

my update:

I NEED HELP!

still not received at the NVC.

contacted my senator today. he said he got a response from the NVC. that when they receive the case theyll send it to the USCIS.

the dept of state requested the review.

he said that usually when things get sent back its not a good sign. said he rarely sees any k1/k3 get approved after getting sent back. said its for a number of reasons. usually because of criminal history/etc. none of that applies to use. we have had no problems ever. im thinking it might be because my husband works in the aviation field and they want more background through the faa or something?

or maybe its because the embassy didnt feel like reviewing it so they sent it to the uscis to do their job? because it was sent to them on the 26th of nov and when i emailed them teh 29th they hadnt received it yet. so that means they got it the 30th and decided to just send it back without even looking at it, right? thats not enough time at all to review. maybe they decided they werent "qualified" to review or just didnt feel like working?

the senator really brought my hopes down when he said hes never seen a case get sent back and then approved. im really worried now. and plus, he said that they dont have to tell us anything, they can just leave us in the dark for as long as they want doing whatever theyre doing.

what am i supposed to do? what am i supposed to think?

I CANT TAKE THIS! HUBBY AND I ARE PERFECTLY NORMAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM IN OUR LIVES! AND WE DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS EITHER! WHAT DO THEY WANT WITH US?! PLEASE TELL ME

Since you don't have any issues in the past like criminal, deportation,overstay etc., I don't see any problems in your case file.

It is just a matter of time to clear this review process, that's all!

But, you need a follow up, periodically!

My fist IV packet took exact 8 days from the day scanned.

So, you are getting your SIF on 16th and I am getting on 18th?

I asked about the time frame for RFE to process with NVC supervisor earlier. He told me that it's the same time frame as regular mail. The only thing different is they don't have to review photographs like other IV or AOS package which takes approx. 6-8 days.
