HoustonApollo - A suggestion for you. That might help you little in your case.

Once USCIS receives your case file, you might want to call USCIS headquarter in Washington DC. and tell the operator that you need to speak with a supervisor because your case is complex. Tell your whole story to supervisor. He/she might be able to tell you why exactly USCIS requested your case file at this time. Let me know if you don't find the phone no. of USCIS headquarter in DC. I can dig it for you too. Good Luck.

Today, I found out that NVC scanned the mail that they have received on 12/06.

I called several time NVC since yesterday, didn't find the right answer from them whether they have assigned visa # to my case file.

Should i call DOS? Do they have access those kind information?? what is the phone number?

Today, I found out that NVC scanned the mail that they have received on 12/06.

UPDATE:

Just spoke an Operator Scott, He identify me that they are missing the photographs of my child and mywife. He aso informed me that there is a mail receive in the system since 12/06 and now under review. Everything look good. Once the photgraphs attached to case file and next step for scheduling a visa interview. I also asked him, if retrogession will effect on my case. He said now they are processing only december, he doesn't know anything about January.

So Am i close to SIF

M_B - That's your post from last night. As I am not sure if this retrogression thingy will apply to those who have completed the NVC process I would suggest you to speak with NVC supervisor and ask the same question. I don't know if DOS can answer that question too.

I personally called USCIS headquarter while my case was not forwarded to NVC after approval. After my case was taken care by USCIS headquarter it was forwarded to NVC soon. Now I also remember the name of the supervisor I spoke with. Her name was Mrs. Pamela Bowl. So when you find that your case is reached to USCIS give a call to USCIS headquarter and ask to speak with Mrs. Bowl. After that you know what to tell them

Our case was completed on the same day...hope you get your interview date soon

It all depends on Bucharest embassy. I dont think they are soooooooo busy, or maybe too busy refusing tourist visas!! lol. Ladydare i cant find my peace until i dont know the date... I keep on opening mail & nothing. Someone said they are squedueling until 12 Dec, that is Saturday... Does NVC work on weekend??????

I spoke to supervisor too. She told me right now they are reviewing my mail which was received on 12/06. They dont have any info other than that. #######!!

Good Morning Guys! I just called NVC, AVR says Case Complete December 9, 2010. Goodluck to all those still waiting for SIF hope ull get all ur SIF today!

11/15/2010............NVC received AOS package

11/16/2010............NVC received DS-230 package

11/29/2010............AOS entered at NVC's system, requesting for biographic info

11/30/2010............DS230 entered at NVC's system

12/8/2010 ........... SIF

12/9/2010 ........... Case Complete

I am at the hospital with my mother now. She was sitting up on the chair since 0700 hours. It's 1200 hours now. She will be discharged from this hospital today and admitted to a physical therapy rehab. Isn't it good news that they are confident she had made enough improvement to not be in hospital anymore? I think so. Please keep my mother in your du'a, prayers, thoughts. I assure you no matter what troubles you in life, mostly NVC/immigration, it will all work out at the end, eventually. Just keep at it. Remember to utilise your senators, congresspersons, Supervisor Sue, and Department of State headquarter contacts. You can also use Department of Homeland Security headquarters. May God give peace and solace to all.

If NVC says your document has been scanned then that means it's entered into NVC system for reviewal. Concerning the retrogression thing you can also try speaking with DOS. I don't know the phone number but you can dig it I guess.
