I just spoke to an operator Molly, gave me holly Info, They have received my photgraphs mail on yesterday 12/06/2010 ...Now its under review!!!!!!!!! Can I expected my SIF this week....

Great news Miami Boy - congrats!! Fingers crossed for SIF. I cannot get hold of NVC today - AVRS still says missing docs, checklist sent but nothing about docs sent - I WANT TO TALK TO A REAL PERSON! Arghh I think I have had enough - this process is getting me down big time.

I am having the same problem today - usually I get through in about 6-10 tries on Skype but alas today no chance!! I wonder why?? Come on NVC get it sorted for you and all of us with RFEs! Houston_Apollo I keep checking on you to see if anything has worked itself out yet for your case - you are in my thoughts - fingers and eyes are crossed for this to be sorted.

Li-lu84, how do you call NVC from Skype? I don't understand how you manage to press different option ie. 1 or 5 (to speak to an operator) after your calls already connected. I tried that once, when the calls got connected and I pressed 2 for non Haiti case, it got disconnected

I just dial the NVC number then use the dialpad on the right hand side (by Check Settings button) to input the numbers (it looks almost like a calculator - never had a problem with disconnection when using that. It is so cheap I use Skype all the time for it.

HoustonApollo- I certainly can understand how you feel now. As I have been through the similar situation. Let me tell you my brief story. I applied my I-130 on 12/2006 (F2A). Remember there used to be long wait by then for approval of I-130. Although it was approved on 07/2010 after many phone calls and emails to USCIS, my service center, USCIS headquarter, USCIS didn't send my approved case to NVC until 10/2010 My priority date was current since June 2010. I email/called USCIS, NVC, USCIS Headquarter, went to my congressman, made Info pass appointment. I put so much to it first to have my I-130 approved and second to forward my case to NVC. Recently I got RFE (for no reason) from NVC otherwise I would have gotten my interview date by now.

I know it's hard, very hard to bear with this kind of situation. What I suggest you is never loose hope, don't give up. Do your part and leave rest on god. Things will be alright for youpretty soon. Good Luck.

just a hint....I always hit 1 for the haiti option, and never wait more than a min or two to speak with someone....they don't even ask anything about haiti, they just answer asking for case or receipt number....I found this out by accident, and now it is the only way I use to speak with an operator

That's great news M_B. You will have your SIF in a day or 2 now ( I believe).

I also believe your photographs mail will receive soon too. May be today, If you cut off holidays from my mail receive, I think we're in same time frame malvika...May be SIF for you tomorrow, & for me today

You have to give them atleast 7-10 days to scan your mail & put it in the system. My mail received on 11/24/2010, They just scanned yesterday.(12 days ).

Thanks everyone for your well wishes with my mom. She is still at ICU. She can barely move her right arm. She can move her right leg a little bit more than her arm. She was talking clearing 5/8 hours ago. But she's slurring her words now. A doctor will come to check her at 7 am. She had a mild stroke on the left side of her brain. Doctor told me that she'll make a recovery but she has to be in the hospital for few days and have physical therapy.

As you can imagine, this has put a lot of damper in my immigration process. Somehow, I'm not as excited about it as I was just this Sunday morning. Didn't even bother to update the timeline on VJ. But our case has been assigned an interview date of January 10th. The date was assigned on Dec 3rd. If you remember, I emailed Sup Sue on Dec 2nd, asking her to give us an expedited interview date. Seems like it worked. Good luck everyone waiting.

And please make prayer for my mother. I would like to be excited about this again as soon as my mother makes a full recovery. My family's whole world turned upside down and dark in matter of hours.

I had the same situation, as i told my previouse post, NVC is time killer, nothing you cannot do until they put that in the system. I sent my photograph on 11/24, NVC opened my mail just yesterday, It took 12 days to open my mail. All you need to wait until they tell you, they got ur case back from embassy.
