Thanks God AVRS message didnt changed, STill it playing documents received on 12/01..blah blah wait 6-8 weeks for review.

Now I am assuiming, there is no worries untill AVRS changed something or operator tells us something new.

M_B - I am loosing my hope for January interview due to this friggin RFE. Per current timeline NVC is taking almost 12-14 days to scan package from the date they were received in mail room. That means my RFE (photographs) were received by NVC on 11/29 + 14 days (to scan my photographs) = 12/13. Another 2 days to get SIF once they scan my photograph ie. 12/15 and another day to get CC now 12/16. I don't think that if I get CC on 12/16 can get January interview So frustrating

I dont think your prediction will be right at this point. I believe, today or monday they will open up your mail. It could be next friday(high chance) for SIF to CC. I am doubt you might get interview in january last week or latest will bethe first week of Feb'11 . You may request for January interview due to NVC lost your photographs.

I have some worries too about a Jan interview. Understand completely how you feel. I'm hoping to get CC by Dec 15, but that would mean exactly at the end of the 2 weeks they squeduel interview!! Waaaaaaaah I miss the train!!!

NVC can schedule interview at anytime during the process as we had seen VJ members get interview date at the end of the month..so don't loose hope yet.

Yes it's safe to assume...I check mine daily just to be sure as any changes will mean an RFE.

Pffff This interview squedueling thing really is messing up with our plans. My husband is coming in 2 weeks & he stays until end of January when he has to go back for an interview. I would like us to go togheter back, to be finished by then, but there is chance of Feb interview which will mean that hubby will go back & forth because he promissed me will be by my side at interview & will go back togheter ever since I'm not so used travelling by plane. Only did it once (long distance-USA), but that was 10+ years ago & was with my mother & some other relatives. I'm wondering if is anything that could be done at this stage...?? Anyone some ideas? Grr I'm really concerned more about him & the money he's going to spend!!

well as you can see by my timeline I got an RFE for the marriage certificate. They said it wasn't original at first, then the real truth came out that they misplaced it...... meaning they lost it. My wife decided it might be better for her to send the response this time and she fedex 5 originals from the philippines directly to the NVC. She mailed it off 11/09/2010 her time so it arrived to the NVC on the 11th which was not good because of Veterans holiday here in the states. So it couldn't get delivered becuase NVC was closed. It finally got delivered on the 12th so I have been checking it everday then at thanksgiving I stopped checking becuase I knew it might be awhile because of the holidays. I decided to check it yesterday and sure enough the message that everyone waits for to get out from the NVC appeared.

i need help..

my vj family is the only ones i turn to right now who understand...

i need your help now more than ever. please. my case was sent to the embassy in paris on nov 26th. they received it. i contacted them by email and they said the normal "when they receive the case theyll send the packet blahblahblah." i called them today to see. they said that the case has been sent back to the NVC at their request. i then called the NVC. they said that it was at the request of the USCIS. i asked to be transferred to a supervisor. she said the same thing and said she couldnt provide any more info. i called the USCIS and they said that it doesnt make sense because my husband is outside the US so they wouldnt ask for the case back and they dont have it but if they were to receive it, it wont be for about another week. they said its probably the DOS who requested it. i contacted the DOS and they said all they know is that the NVC requested it.

AT THIS POINT IN TIME, NO ONE HAS MY CASE AND NO ONE KNOWS WHERE IT IS AND NO ONE KNOWS WHY IT HAS BEEN SENT BACK AND IM FREAKING OUT AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASEEE HELP ME. IM SO SCARED I CANT TAKE IT... DO YOU KNOW WHY THIS MIGHT BE HAPPENING? CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON? WHO TO CONTACT? WHAT TO DO? PLEASE HELP ME ... :'(

By asking to put your timeline for RFE, I was trying to figure out how many days exactly NVC took to enter your RFE into their system. But may be you wouldn't know that. I understand your package was mailed of on 11/09 and NVC received them on 11/12 and you got SIF on 12/02. But trying to know when did they enter RFE into their system. Anyway, Thanks a bunch

So sorry about that Houston i wish i could help you, but i really don t know what i would do in your place...Did you try to call the NVC? What is the DOS?

HoustonApollo, sorry to hear about what happend with you. The very first thing is to DON'T panic too much it may harm yourself rather than resolving your problem at this point.

That's really horrible to take that kinda things. But I would suggest you to call NVC, USCIS, DOS or USCIS headquarter and try to find the answer who requested your case back from your consulate and what was the reason?

I would knock all the avenue at this time. But again do not stressed yourself too much. I understand how you feel now. Remember I have been waiting for this visa since 2006, yes 2006.

Any update on your RFE yet? Did they receive it by now? I called AVR last night but the msg. didn't change yet

Do you really think that it's gonna take whole 13-14 days for them to enter our RFE in the system? So sad. They should have treated RFE maile in a different manner than other regular mail. What's more in my case, actually it's them who lost my photographs, so they should be handling this thing specially

HoustonApollo, here's what you need to do: First figure out where you case is now. Then where it is going. Then call the place where it's going and ask them why they wanted it. What I think happened here is that your embassy made a mistake. It thought your husband is in America. When he's not. You case was sent to embassy without final review and/or cc over at NVC. Now that you case is going back to USCIS, it wll be shipped back to NVC. Then just let NVC do the final review and send the case to embassy through its normal channel.

It looks like you can't do anything until you case lands where it's going. This weeks is going to be frustrating for you. Try not to worry. It's all just a dent in the road. Plus, you're already with your husband in France. That's a luxury not many of us can afford. So enjoy your time in France and don't worry. It'll all work out in the end.

@HoustonaApollo so sorry to hear about what's happening. I don't know what's going on but keeping calling NVC, USCIS, DOS and everyone you can think off to get it resolved. It will work out in the end...hang in there.
