Loto (or anyone else) what is your advice about how best to push for a quick interview (I'm thinking January here, not this month)? Who would I call/bug/email? Manila embassy? NVC? Supervior Sue? Department of State? My reasons for requesting the expedite would pertain to my long separation from our son, and the better medical care available to him here, but I am not sure who to put the request to.

You best bet is to email Sup Sue with a concise but heatfelt letter. You can then call DoS's DC office. Get a human and have a chat.

Loto, I was looking forward to make your life easy so that you don't have to update your countdown timer manually every hours or minute and I found this countdown timer but don't know how to put this in here so that it displays the countdown timer somewhere in your signature !

I was told by the NVC human to call back after 2nd week of December to see if we would be scheduled for January. I'm not betting on it though because Lagos is backed up and has a longer wait than most Embassies. I'll consider myself lucky if we can get a mid-February interview. Sigh....am relieved NVC is over but now it's on to another wait...

Anyway, my best wishes again to you and your wife for a successful interview outcome!

A leap on faith? Are you that forgetful of your past? You sent AOS and IV package to NVC. You didn't sent anything else. Since it cannot be the AOS, it has to be the IV package. See. No leap of faith required. In about 8 days since your IV package scanning, you should get your SIF. Followed by CC.

I have submitted AOS and Visa application on Nov 5 and Nov 6. How can I fond out that these forms are scanned in?

I just got the police certificate for my wife. Should I send it with the cover page and a copy of the form 230 to the same address as I sent the original form 230?

I got only email from NVC that our fees are paid and we should down load forms and submit them.

If you visit your country specific forum, you will see the timeline of people who recently completed the interview. Then you can estimate the time period between NVC CC and Interview.

The below is just for entertainment

If many people are going in and out of a consulate, it is treated as busy. If rest rooms inside the consulate is busy and you wait an hour outside, it is crowded consulate

Even without push also, you will get Manila interview date between 1st and 15th of Jan.

If you want to push, email to Supervisor Sue with some valid expedite reasons.

After talking to NVC operator, you can mail the PC to NVC. If they complete the case without PC (NVC is , they will do it also), your beneficiary can produce it at interview time as well.

Thanks for the wishes. If you want, I could send you some listings in our area. They put over priced now, when you are realy interesting to buy then they start lower the price. I bought my house from the broker. He is also from Bangladesh. He only made 5k to selling me the house. In top of that I have to pay addition $10k for closing. so my house now worth $65k.
