I hope so. AVRS has been true for me so far so I trust it. I guess there's nothing I can do now except just wait for Monday.

IS,

I dont know why you didn't receive interview letter email yet. Spoke to one of my buddy yesterday, he said after SIF, very next morning he received an email with interview date on it. I believe you will probably get it on monday. I

Also AVRS has changed to received documents except date instead of 11/23, now 11/26.

I am looking to hear some good news by next friday.:star:

Wow! Congrats to everyone who has received their SIF's these past few days!  :thumbs:

My AVR changed from: "We received the checklist..." to: "The NVC found missing information in your AOS package." So I'm hoping that means that my IV has been entered and nothing was missing or incorrect from that package and I can send off my AOS corrections on Monday. I really feel like crying (in pity for myself).

Would it hurt for me to write SUE and tell her to be nice and just send the case to the USE b/c my husband hasn't seen our 20 month old daughter since she was 3 1/2 months old? I could list all of the things he has missed... *Sigh*

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Houston, You are in the same position as Loto. Loto did something similar by writing to SUE and his case was expedited. What NVC probably did was they did the initial review of your application and sent it to the foreign consulate which will now do the final review. The only downside for the foreign consulate doing the final review is the chance of getting an AP (Administrative Processing), but if your documentation is 100 %, you should have nothing to worry. Also if and when there is an AP, they take longer to complete as opposed to an RFE. You should probably get a late December interview date and make you sure all your documentation is in place including the documentation for the expedite.

Good luck !

hi everyone! happy saturday! hope your thanksgivings and black fridays were great! sorry i havent been on, but congrads to everyone who keep getting SIFs and are moving right along! those who are nervous and stressed, you'll get the good news youve been waiting for on monday im sure :)

okay now, i need your help..my AOS packet was entered into the system on the 22nd according to my last "live person" call on Wednesday. They received my IV packet on the 18th and I have assumed that it wasn't entered yet. However, on the 19th I sent an email to supervisor Sue explaining that my husband's contract at work ends on Dec 31st and he is enrolled to start univ classed here in the US on Jan 10th and although I am aware that these are not dire circumstances (medical, etc.) I was wondering if there was anything that could be done, etc. This morning I called to check the AVRS and they said that my case has been sent to the Paris embassy on the 26th .. so does that mean that it was expedited? The NVC couldn't possibly have reviewed my case that quickly and sent it regularly -- could they? What do I do next? (aside from calling the NVC/DOS/embassy on Monday to ask them about my case..) Help? :)

oh, one more thing, I tried to sign in this morning and got SIF .

Teya,

I wouldn't do that if I were in your position. Your SIF is a matter of few days and if you send that email, your file will be shipped to the foreign consulate without the final review being done and there are some risks involved in doing that. I am sure you have read what happened to LOTO and now to HoustonApollo when they sent the email to SUE.

Wow! Congrats to everyone who has received their SIF's these past few days!  :thumbs:

Your buddy was extremely lucky to have received the interview letter the next day. Usually it takes a week or so before interview letter is sent after CC. I hope get CC Monday or that I have already received CC and the stupid AVRS hasn't been updated for my case. The last I spoke to a NVC droid was on Friday at 9AM EST. I wanted to call them again just before they closed on Friday night, but I forgot. I don't know, bro. Everything takes longer for me. I can't ever get a friggin' lucky break. I was going to compile the interview package for my wife this weekend thinking I'd have CC by Friday. Now I feel too discouraged to do anything with immigration.

Good luck to you, however.

Good Morning Guys !

Just finished scanning missed pages since last night.

Glad to know that Tabitha got her SIF last night - Congrats buddy

Houston_Apollo - Congrats on your expedite approval

I received a checklist cover letter email from NVC this morning, which is asking me to submit missing photographs that I already mailed yesterday. The letter also says to include a copy of checklist cover letter with my RFE. But I didn't do that since I didn't have this letter until yesterday.

I hope that doesn't make any problem.

Anyone had similar situation here?

'svenkatc,

  I am agree with you. I have the same situation now, because I haven't seen my little boy since he born( now 2.5 months old). As 'svenkatc , I thought I would get definitely AP or either DNA test for new born child. Even still have a chance to get DNA test require, I already submitted all the medical documents since my wife pregnancy along with pictures. Lets see what turns out in interview.

I wonder why everyone is putting so much faith in the AVRS - I am not.

My case have been complete & I still get "There is no record of your case #" from the AVRS.

Congratulations to all who got their SIF - your CC will follow soon.

This week is a holiday week so a lot of the NVC workers have been off visiting their families or having families come over for the holidays. I think that NVC just had a handful of reviewers working on Friday maybe only operators - who knows.

I know of some Federal Government workers here in NYC who have been off since Tuesday (yes there are some people who do take that amount of time off during the holidays to be with their family). I think that the same hold true for NVC & that pattern may follow for x-mas & other major holidays.

Just be a little more patient & wait for them to come back to work Monday/Tuesday - then things will be back to full swing.

svenkatc- I would only send the e-mail after making sure that my DS230 package was complete and they hadn't found any mistakes. I know there would be some risk in doing it but no matter what the NVC says is ok or not, only the USE has the final say. :)

malvika- Yeah. I already know what was wrong with my AOS. I was waiting to see what they found wrong with my DS230 before I sent in the stupid corrections to my AOS. I know you know how much this sucks :) I hope they are able to figure yours out before they quit scheduling for January. Another friggin month o waiting would be ridiculous to say the least.

..what are the chances of AP at the embassy stage? what type of "quick review" does the NVC do beforehand? If I do run into AP, might it be faster because Paris isnt a very busy embassy? What exactly happens during AP? (I'm sure theres a link about it somewhere on VJ?)

Think it was a bad idea to have asked for expedite? ..I wasn't expecting them to grant it, I just did it to "pass the time" and as a just in case ..made me feel like i was doing "something useful" for our case. Hope I didn't mess up :/

Dude,

Check my timeline. It's taking longer for me than for you. :-(
