NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

I spoke with a nice NVC operator Carla but still got the same response... we received you package on 11/20 and we are reviewing it and to give 20 business days for the review...

Well I made my calls to NVC before the weekend...hoping for a better week coming up, SIF and CC

Malvi,

It may make not sense to use USPS next day delivery since NVC is closed saturday, they will make an attempt to deliver on Saturday and leave them a note and redeliver again on Monday. If you are doing next day, make sure you to tick the option on the form that says something like ..do not deliver saturdays and holidays.

I had to go through that tension and don't want others to do the same. This is specially true for people who send stuff overnight on a Friday

svenkatc, I sent my RFE through USPS next day delivery and checked the box that said "Do not deliver on Weekend and Holiday" Hence it'll be delivered on Monday morning.

Folks,

Finally I sent my RFE response for missing photographs (which I had sent actually) and also wrote the NVC case # and "IV package RFE response" on top of the envelope (thanks Loto for this).

But it was so frustrating. I was so upset since this morning when I heard that they are missing photographs. On Thursday morning when I listened to my AVR and it was saying "We have reviewed your documents and found information missing....." I was thinking that this is just a false RFE, but it turned to be the real one

I had also sent an email to Supervisor Sue this afternoon requesting to re-check the content of my IV package and got the response back this evening which says :-

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review has been completed.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

I don't even know what the heck does that mean. I

I know now it's gonna take 2-3 weeks for them to add my photographs to the case file, which is pain in neck.

Now I am praying that they find my previously submitted photographs soon and complete my case.

Black Friday turned to be really black for me

Don't be too sad, Malvika...it's just a slight derailment...you'll be back on course in no time...even Loto was derailed a bit when he had to send them another Birth Certificate...by next week, they'll have reviewed it and you'll get your case completed

What's going with your case? Any recent update? Your IV was entered in NVC system before mine and still not reviewed?

I called NVC once more before retiring for the night. Still no CC. This sucks #######.

But I read the most amazing novel, possibly in my entire life. 600 pages in one day. Actually more like within 12 hours. Two novels in two days. Plus almost two seasons of Psych. I must say this weekend has been a very productive one so far. Two more days to go. I ain't gonna waste my energy and fun thinking about NVC anymore for few days.

Good job malvi on getting things done so quickly. The letter means that it has reached the right authorities (in this case SUE) and they are working on investigating your case (read - find the missing photographs). I don't think this will cause any derailment in your case. The potential delay could be 2 to 3 days and am thinking on Monday you are gona hear that they found your photographs.

Good luck and sleep well today knowing that you did your best !

Indigo, I was pretty sure that you would get your CC today. As svenkatc said you might hear new AVR (A Vulnerable Record ) after mid night today. Just check it once after mid nite (I checked my AVR on Thursday at 1:30 AM (in a deep asleep) hoping that I will hear some good news ) If not you should be hearing of your CC on Monday morning. You should be glad that is just the photographs. I have read on the forums that a few people had NVC missing their original birth certificates, etc. At least the photographs are easily replaceable. I could only imagine the heartburn when someone's original docs goes missing. Like someone said in one of these forums, the NVC process is not for the weak hearted.

I'm watching Human Target now. Why the f do all the show I care about get cancelled. The bastards cancelled Fast Forward. They cancelled Happy Town. Now there are talks of Fringe bing cancelled. It's like FOX is just trying so damn hard to make me hate them even more. I'll call NVC again in couple of hours when I'm done watching the two episodes of Human Target. Love this show.

yes svenkatc, I am thankful to god that they didn't miss any of my original document, otherwise it would be a big big pain in a neck to acquire the original from our country. I have heard that many people were victim of missing their originals by NVC.
