Dear VJer's,

I just received an email from NVC. Here is my case updates:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received documentation for this case. As soon as this file has been reviewed, notification will be sent.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Thanks

B.B.

@IS did you get CC today any news!!! We haven't heard from you since early this morning :wow:

No. Still no CC. :( I called about an hour ago (from now) and AVRS is still saying NVC received check list package. I called NVC once early in the morning. Talked to Tony who's a jerk. But he said it's still in final review. I don't know. I'm starting to not care about any of this anymore.

I'm probably gonna get an RFE. With my luck. People get CC on the same day as SIF or the day after. It's the 3rd day since SIF and no CC. :(

Guys, I'm totally immersed in my book. It's literally un-put-down-able. If you have a chance or if you like to read, pick up Cemetery Dance by Preston and Child. I love all their books very much.

IS, I think you should get a CC today or worst case Monday. I can see some slowness with NVC processing because of the holiday season. Check AVRS after midnight. Tony may not know as yet since Tony's system has not been updated.

I highly doubt you are gona get a RFE. Final review is possibly more stapling and packaging it for sending it to the consulate.

M_B, I think your DS 230 is being reviewed and they probably have connected the newly arrived photos to your docs.

Btw, I called NVC again to have my evening quota of NVC and spoke to sweet jasmine. She was really sweet and walked me through what happened. (F)

She said that they finished reviewing my AOS package on 11/22 and it was fine and hence the AVRS said.....letter sent on 11/22. She said it looks like the actual letter asking for the DS-230 was actually sent out on 11/24 (I received it same day) and hence the AVRS updated itself to that date (11/24). She said that the DS-230 is still being reviewed and the rest of the regular time line #######.

oh, good Debby. Did your missing information date change in the AVRS msg like it it did on mine or it has been saying the same date (we mailed you ...blah..blah on ..so and so date). For me it changed from 11/22 to 11/24 for no reason and I am being told that the IV is still being processed.

I bet the holidays take its toll on the processing time, with people possibly on vacation and stuff.

Just like you - same message, different date. Went from 11/15 to 11/21. I'm not going to worry so much anymore...it'll happen soon. Every single operator I spoke to so far, since I've been getting this message, has been telling me the same thing. It's all been consistent. I suggested to the last operator that they should just disable the AVR if it's not going to be updated with accurate info.

>>> I suggested to the last operator that they should just disable the AVR if it's not going to be updated with accurate info. <<< haha that's funny.

I wish they could disable both (the AVRS and the human   not much difference between the two and sometimes I feel the former is better than the latter) :P

Am thinking the person our files ended up with is on a Thankgiving vacation. :) I am thinking you must have received your checklist letter on or after 11/21 since the date changed in the AVRS and possibly it got mailed to you on that day.

Good, we are kinda figuring out how this madness works. I also feel that all your documents & photographs are in place and they are carrying out the review of the contents. If you had something missing, you would have already known it by now given your time line. Look how quickly Malvika got to know his photographs were missing and they RFE'ed him for that and he had his IV scanned 3 days after you.

I think we just have to wait it out and keep checking the AVRS/Human RS often to get the updates.

That's EXACTLY what happened!
