I hope you all have a good Thanksgiving. The only family I consider worthwhile are my wife and son who I'm trying to get here (and my daughter who lives on the other side of the U.S.), so I'll just sit here and quietly rage, wondering why NVC hasn't even started reviewing my packages.

I am also like you Jon :crying:

My family is in India - we couldn't celebrate our wedding anniversary (Nov 15th) together :crying: No Thanksgiving together :crying:

My son is with ex-wife and wished him!

Yes! I haven't seen him in person yet except photos, Already used all my vacation on last june to attend wife's baby shower programme. I am going to use next year vacation after their visa approval. I hope you feel better on your back injuiry.

Loto, May it comes true that NVC AVRs is just fooling us and there's nothing wrong at all.

But at the same time, I should have gotten my SIF yesterday as per other VJ members timelines. I wonder why NVC takes more time in some cases I know each and every case is different but still...

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

You can't benchmark a difference of 1 or 2 days. Your case and other's case will be handling by different persons at varying speed. Also as you said, each case is unique. If there is a difference of a week at NVC between similar cases, probably that will be worth worrying and contact NVC - hey what's happening with my case? :star:

Per my analysis, what I think is when NVC enters AOS into the system and do not get IV packet then it is normal to receive Document Missing AVR or checklist email. But in my case my AVR has changed since after NVC received the IV packet and even started reviewing it. So I doubt if there's something wrong there.

No matter what we need to wait until tomorrow to find out what exactly it is.

Your analysis became so true on my case. this morning AVRS messages changed to checklist letter response received on 11/23, please allow 4-8 weeks to review.... As i told my previouse post that my wife sent photograph which was received on 11/24( per DHL tracking) and haven't get into system yet. I am assuiming my IV packet just enter into system on 11/23, it will start reviewing from either today or monday. I am going to send an email to supervisor sue & mention that photograph that i missed in IV packet has been received by NVC, all they have to do add those photograph to my case file.Thats how i can save some time. Lets see what response i get from sue.

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.
