I'm a little confused. Instructions for NVC processing indicates to send original docs but the Mexicen Consulate in Cd.Juarez also states to bring original docs (e.g. Marriage certificate, Police records...) Does the NVC send all docs submitted to the Consulate in Juarez?

I got the birth certificate made for my wife and all the information is correct except for that the Mother's name on the BC contains just the first name. The father's name contains the full name though. Do you guys this would this be a problem at NVC?

If it's official, with some seal/stamp, I don't smell a problem.

It kinda depends on what yer doing.

If yer doing that 'MEP' , then ya, you must bring originals in to CJ.

If yer 'going postal' at NVC, (NO EP, NO MEP) then CJ gets the originals from NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Sorry, what does MEP and EP stand for?

MEP = Mexican Electronic Processing

EP = Electronic Processing

You should call NVC, and ask / inquire about MEP, today-ish.

If you qualify, it's a lot faster than sending in postal stuff.

But you won't know if you qualify, until you call.

See http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4409.html (and all of those pages)

but note - YOU MUST TALK WITH NVC HUMAN to inquire if you will use MEP or regular postal methods.

regardless, you can still utilize the online payment portal for payments.

I got my NOA2 hard copy today. NOA2 was issued on 10/02. Hard copy of 10/07. Not bad. But hard copy doesn't have anything that I didn't know about already. But it's nice to see the nice pattern on it.

Now I wait for NVC to assign case number so I can give them our emails. That's the next step right?

She told me that it's for single women and we are married. She told me she has it taken care of. I have to beleive it.

She is getting her new passport on Oct 20 and I hope she goes for her medical around the 12 so that will be completed... She is calling St Luke's today to get all her questions answered. I told her she will need to get a room for the night or even two nights. She will take someone with her when she goes.

How about you guys when are you going for medical

He's done with his medical, I think he went and did it last week of September. Thank God everything came back ok. I was a little concerned because we work in health care so we're exposed to different pathogens, so I asked him to do it early.

I think your wife still needs to request for the CENOMAR, but they're gonna mail you CEMAR instead (Certificate of Marriage or being married or something). I also was confused about it but after speaking to different people, they told me that they're still gonna ask for it in the interview. I think it's another proof that you two are married, as it shows in their office (NSO).

My husband applied for his CENOMAR (got CEMAR) onilne. It took a couple or 3 weeks before it was mailed to him. You still have time to do it.

I called NVC just now for sh**s and giggles. As expected, they don't have the case file yet. According to this lady, it will only take 10 days or so. I just wanted to call NVC and see how long I had to wait and the button combinations to press. I had to wait 25 minutes for a human. Not that bad, IMO.

Speaking of sh**s adn giggles, how's everyone doing today? Looking forward to the weekend? We're going to have a baby shower in our house. So that means I have to be away all weekend. All for the best since I can go to Amish farms. Amish people are so awesome.
