I checked AVRS today and the message has changed from the "waiting for biographic info" to "The nvc received your documents on 11/19. please allow 6 to 8 weeks". I am assuming the IV paper work has also been entered in to their system now.

I would assume so. That was the message I got after my AOS was entered (IV had been entered the day before, so the message at that point was "waiting for AOS" or somesuch.

NVC sent me email P3U Agent Universial. Should I send Ds230 before send I864? Or what should I do. Because I have cover sheet of Ds 230? I have to wait I864 From my cousin.

Just want to point out something very important that just happened so that no one panics when, and if, it happens to them.

As you know from reading my previous post, I called the NVC last night and was notified that my DS-230 is now under review. But the AVR last night was still saying "waiting for biographic pkg from petitioner".

So I called the AVR this morning to see if the message had changed. Imagine my surprise when the AVR message said "biographic pkg missing information; a letter has been generated on 11/15/10 detailing what is missing and will be mailed out". I freaked out and thought "Oh no! RFE!" So I waited to get a human on the phone and asked him what was going on and if he can tell me what's missing. He said that it's possible that nothing is missing. Because it technically hasn't been reviewed yet. It was only just entered into the system (and tied to my case) yesterday. He explained that if the documents (AOS and DS-230) are entered in at different times, the AVR message that is generated could be misleading. In other words, they received the DS-230 but haven't reviewed it yet, so the computer thinks that docs are missing and spits out that message. He said to give it a week or 2 and then when DS-230 docs are reviewed, the AVR message will change. It's all a timing issue.

I hope my experience helps people not to panic if they get this same message.

I never got the message "we received your documents bla bla bla...". My message on the AVR went straight from "waiting for the biographic info..." to "your case has been reviewed and we are missing some information." That's why I called the NVC to get an explanation, and that's the explanation that was given to me. I'm no expert at trying to figure out the AVR message triggers. The only thing I would advise you to do is call the NVC first thing on Monday and get a human on the line to see if they can clarify for you. I wouldn't worry too much though...so many people have been getting this message because something wasn't entered into their computer system. Just call to clear your mind.

Somehow, Loto, I don't think your case EVER made it into the AVR - and that's very curious, because you would think that the person at the NVC that reviewed your case and forwarded your docs would have caught that! Apparently, the AVR is not really reflective all the time on what's actually happening with the case. People shouldn't put too much stock in the messages. If a msg makes you anxious, your best bet is to talk to an NVC human.

The last operator I spoke to told me "Do not put much stock into the AVRS, in about 2 weeks just call again and talk to an operator to get an update on your case."

Anyone who has experiences with tax, help me out. Can I mail a copy of W7 (the form you use to apply for ITIN) anytime of the year or do I have to file it with tax returns? I want the ITIN before I'm ready to file my 2010 tax so I can file electronically. I don't want to do paper tax return. First of all, it takes about 4 months to process compared to 3 weeks when filed electronically. And those IRS workers always make mistake with paper filing. I should have thought of this question on a week day. But no, I had to think of it on a week end. IRS and local IRS office is closed now. I'm going to ask them tomorrow.

I would really like to get my refund ASAP. Yes. That's right. Imma be getting a refund. I didn't take exemption after marriage. So over-paid.
