NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

Thank you Tom and Emily! I still don't know how to react to this, honestly...

So, hubby called NVC and the operator lady (who was very hard to understand) said that the expedition we requested was granted and the case is being forwarded to the USEM in Sofia...

I am a little confused tho - does this mean that we got tru NVC without any RFE or is it still possible for them to ask more evidence at the interview???

Mr and Mrs D congrats. I have some information for you. I spoke to NVC regarding expediting my case also and this is how it works. After you send your request to expedite the NVC sends that request to the USEM in your beneficiaries country.

The USEM approves or denies the request to expedite not NVC. If the request is granted the file in the current proccessing stage it is in at NVC is immedietly sent to the embassy.

The embassy when they receive it will finish the processing of the file and schedule your interview instead of NVC scheduling for them.

This does not mean your file is complete or may need additional documents (RFE) but the documents would be sent or brought to the USEM or to your interview.

At this point you will only deal with the USEM to complete the case.

Thank you so much!!! This really helps! I thought it works that way but I wasn't sure... Well, then I am still praying hubby's AOS package is OK and the fact that he is active duty helps us with the income requirements. He is currently making way above the poverty guidelines but he didn't have sufficient income the past two years as he was still in college.

I got the birth certificate made for my wife and all the information is correct except for that the Mother's name on the BC contains just the first name. The father's name contains the full name though. Do you guys this would this be a problem at NVC?

Milena I only gave them information on 2009 finances for me and my co-sponsor...what matters is what he made in 2009 and you send proof of his income up to now so don't worry sweetie it will go fine!! You will see... :thumbs:

Oh, Emily I don't know.. He joined the AF in Aug 2009 and before that he was still in school, that's why I am a bit worried... But I hope God hears ur good words and helps us out with this one! Thank you!
