Question. Does anyone think the reviewing my documents might take a bit longer because my AOS and IV were inputted at the same time? I would hope I could be on course to get a SIF before Thanksgiving.

Some anxious moments here...

I sent copies of I-130, AOS and IV package plus almost all my originals to my wife last Tue (11/09) by USPS express mail. I was told it will be delivered in 3 to 5 business days. It has not been delivered yet.

I opened a research ticket with USPS today and was told they would get back to me in another 1 to 5 business days :devil:

If they miss this package, I am totally screwed up with all my originals. But it is not a show stopper for my wife's interview.

Lesson learned - Important documents sent only by Fedex or DHL, never rely on USPS.

Hang in there Loto, I'm sure it will ge there, all be it later than expected. I have had numerous instances of USPS taking waaaaay longer than expected to deliver packages!

Dear Folks,

Can't wait to share two good news with you.

The first one is my AVR changed this morning and now it's saying "The NVC has received the checklist letter response on 11/18........" So it means my IV packet has been added to my case file yesterday :)

The second good news is I had my Naturalization Ceremony today. Yes, became US citizen :)

Question:-

How should I update my immigration status with NVC now? I guess I have to send them a copy of my naturalization certificate and a cover letter. I am currently on hold with NVC call. Trying to find the answer. In the mean time if any of us have any idea to share will be greatly appreciated !

loto, murphy's law... i never had usps delay more than 7 days to nepal. there is hope.

finally, the agent said they received "a" package today, don't know which one they are entering... i should not have bought that ticket for the 26th. i will never get closure by then.

I will give in and mail off the stupid RFE response on Monday just in time for it not to be reviewed before Thanksgiving nor input until it is too late. Maybe I will see if they can just shove it on through for a December interview. I can only hope I don't get Patty again...she wasn't very nice at all!!!

Then I got an RFE for one of the tax years being exactly a dollar off because TurboTax said one thing and the IRS said another (on the transcripts...but even on the transcripts the wages and the AGI are $1 off). So yeah... I won't be making the January interviews unless the NVC sends my case to the Embassy at the end of Dec and I can finagle an interview in January. Looks like February should be good...unless there are some snafus.

Don't worry, Teya...you've been patiently waiting for so long...you're in the final stretch now...this time of year moves very quickly...before you know it, you'll be getting an NVC CC and SIF :)

Just got off the phone with NVC got thru on first dial :shocked:

Spoke with an operator my AOS package was entered into the system today wait 2-4weeks for review.

I called the NVC today and they AVR now says its waiting for biographic info from the petitioner, which im guessing the AOS is in the system!!

Fingers crossed no RFE's for US

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

I checked AVRS today and the message has changed from the "waiting for biographic info" to "The nvc received your documents on 11/19. please allow 6 to 8 weeks". I am assuming the IV paper work has also been entered in to their system now.
