NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! I just called AVR and guess what? It has changed from last night. Now it's saying "NVC has reviewed packet or forms and found information missing or incomplete. NVC mailed a letter on Nov. 16, 10...blah blah....".

There is no missing info. NVC hasn't actually reviewed your file. It just means now they have both AOS and IV package. Because of time mis-match, they think one is missing. This is a false RFE. What you need to do now is call NVC and talk to a person. For piece of mind. But they're just going to tell you that they received both things and allow 2 - 4 weeks to review and make decision. There's nothing else for you to do now except wait for SIF/CC. If unfortunately your receive an actual true RFE, then you'll have to deal with it. As of now, there's no RFE for you. It's a false RFE.

And congrats! We movin' along slowly but surely.

I don't think that I have done anything wrong with IV packet. But as far as AOS packet is concerned, yesterday I realized (looking at a question on one of the thread) that I have incorrectly answered question no. 21 on AOS form on Household size question where it says "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse". When I read this question I simply thought that I am married and I should put "1" for my spouse and I happed to do that, but found that is incorrect since our spouse are the intending immigrant.

God don't give me RFE for this little cause please

I predict I will get a SIF/CC the day before Thanksgiving. So 24-NOV. Next Wednesday. You shouldn't be too far behind. Granted neither of us get any true RFE. I'm gonna be a pessimist and say that we're not going to get December interview. I don't see how it's possible. So early January.

If possible, you can always email the embassy and request an interview at their soonest possible convenience.

I did it when I went through my K1 - and they obliged. Ive now done it with my CR1.

I wonder how long is it taking to complete case these days after NVC receives both package? We have thousands of VJ member here who might have same timeline as ours but we all are scatttered, it would be much easier for us to figure it out once those folks also appear in this thread !

AOS entered in their system yesterday. AVR saying "biographic information blah blah blah ..". Have updated the spreadsheet.

Am in no hurry as am traveling to India next month anyways and don't mind an interview in Jan or Feb. Will still be back there

Congrats to everyone who is moving along in this way too long process! Called, AVRS said my IV had been entered yesterday, and was awaiting the AOS package. Called back and spoke to Jasmine, who told me that they had two packages from me, one entered yesterday, and one entered today, and, standard line, to please allow 2-4 weeks for review.

Looks like your prediction about batch processing is true. Looks like yesterday was the day like November 8th was.

I don't wish you an RFE, but what you did was something that has been discussed in so many threads and could possibly threw an RFE. Not sure how you missed that
