How did you know your AOS had been entered? Because I am still waiting to hear whether mine has been entered.

I called NVC and asked the operator. I keep calling them everyday after sending my AOS package. You can also find out from the AVRS. If the AVRS says they are waiting for biographic info from the lawyer and you've already sent your AOS package, that means your AOS was entered into the system.

quick question...

my husband had a J1 visa in 2007 to work so we included that on the ds230 but he no longer has any paperwork from the visa or anything..will they request any further info? will that potentially cause an RFE?

Just called avr again after waiting a week and got the biographic message so i'm guessing my aos is entered :) Now is there a specific message that they would put on AVR if you were to get a RFE or is that something you would have to find out from a live person? Thanks and good luck to upcoming interviews and to SIF's and forwarding to the consulates for the rest of us :thumbs: :thumbs:

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

If things go serially, your IV will entered after mine. Mine hasn't been entered into the system yet. I'm expecting it to be entered in today. So yours will be in tomorrow. But you won't know about it until the next day. Same way, I won't know mine was entered today until tomorrow.

Sometimes things don't go serially as I told in my previous post that NVC does batch posting of documents into the system. Look at the spreadsheet timeline-- Debby's AOS package was received by NVC on 10/23, Tabndan's was received on 10/26 likewise yours and mine were received on 10/28, but eventually all AOS package were posted on 11/08, agree?

I think yours and mine make it together when they do next batch posting of IV pacakge.

Yup. It's gonna give everyone some targets. Once a few more records are added, I'm going to create a summary spreadsheet based on the nvc_tracker data. It will have things like what's the current estimation of of NVC entering IV since the day the received it, etc. It's gonna be sweet.

So Looking at the tracker, it seems it takes NVC for the most part 15 days to enter the AOS and IV package into the system and about two weeks to review.

Therefore, one can conclude that were looking at a early Jan Interview date obviously depending on what consulate filing is at.

How is this ok for the Federal Government to make this process so endless and frustrating. 5-6 months at USCIS and then 2-3 months at NVC and then the embassy.

NVC

10/26/10: NVC Case# received by calling AVR.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

11/05/10: Recieved AOS fee Paid confirmation and barode sheet.

11/06/10: AOS mailed USPS Express.

11/08/10: AOS package received by NVC; Signed by :N Visa Center,Received email that DS-3032 has been received and accepted & IV Fee Invoiced & Paid. Waiting for processing.

11/12/10: IV package mailed USPS express.

11/15/2010: IV package recieved by NVC.

11/19/10: AOS entered into System.

11/29/10: IV Entered into System

It's not okay but the government thinks this is a privileged you are being given. Therefore, it can charge any amount it want and make the process indefinitely as long as it wants. If too many people complain, it can just shut down the whole operation. So we are left with two options. Basically a) put up with it, or b) put up with it. Hardly a option as you can see.

I know it sucks... :blush:they can and they are doing it :devil: GRRRR. I personally don't think it's fare that they grant fiancee visa's so much quicker then the spouse or family visa :wacko: but I don't think that they care.

Recently there are many Fiancee Visas going from start to finish in 5 months, and some less than 5 months.

I also feel that there's a psychological element at work in this process. It's such a grueling process and requires so much patience and perseverance that I think it weeds out the couples that are not truly committed. Just my 2 cents.

CR-1 VISA

2010-06-01: Get Married!!!

2010-06-15: Mail out I-130 - Petition for Alien Relative

2010-06-22: I-130 NOA1
2010-09-30: I-130 NOA2
