Congrats. 2 week is a long time though - I suspect it will get slower once people start leaving for vacations around thanks giving.

I have a question regarding DS 230. For the question when it asks about your profession, do you write un-employed if you are currently not working. Or you write your profession i.e engineer/plummer/carpenter regardless if you are currently working or not .. ?

Just got off the phone with the NVC...my DS-230 was entered into the system today and is currently under review...finally!!! It's exactly 2 weeks after it was signed for by the NVC. She also told me that my AOS package was approved....woohoo!!!!!!! One baby step closer!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

Congrats Debby Dec interview date might just be in sight

Hahahaha....I wish....but then reality sets in and I realize that we have to deal with the Notorious Lagos Consulate, which - in addition to being the most difficult - also has one of the longer waits for interviews!!!

But, I humbly remain eternally optimistic!!! lol

It is still same. When visa# is available to the beneficiary of LPR petitioner, NVC will complete the case and forward to the Consulate. Until then NVC will hold the file.

I just finished listing approximate visit dates to the U.S. for the last 6 months....I'm already at 3 pages. I've included a note about residing very close to the border and how alot of the trips were either just for a couple of hours and just overnight. I hope that is ok...there is no way I could list every visit to the U.S. in my lifetime.

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

I just checked AVR and they now have our AOS in the system. I am not getting the waiting for biographic info message. Does this mean our AOS has been approved, or could we still get an RFE?

Now that my husband is a citizen, we are preparting documents to apply to bring his parents here.

Not to worry, you should be fine with that; they are mainly concerned with overstays. They understand that for those that live close to the border there will have been numerous trips.

My list was over three pages as well and the only thing I was asked at my interiew was if I had ever had any problems at the border.

I heard AVR this morning. It says Your documents were received on Nov 15th. please 6-8 weeks for us to review. What does this mean? Is my AOS AND IV packet entered?

It seems like we don't hold chance 4 dec end interview. :(
