I have nothing but good things to say 'bout Etihad Airlines. On one of our trip to Bangladesh, we got bumped to first class even though we bought regular economy tickets. They say once you taste the rainbow, you never want to go back. Now that I flew first class once, anything else feels so... not-first-class. They serve the best food out of any airlines I ever flew with. It's kind of sad that Etihad doesn't make any profit. Yet. Oh well. Good choice on Etihad. Safe travellin'. I'm expecting you to not stop posting on VJ once you are back. You'd have no compelling reason to post here anymore but I hope at least you will.

Update: I just called NVC to see if I can get any additional information about my case. The lady said that "your case has been completed and now we are waiting to schedule an appointment based on the consulate load. Please call back next week Tuesday and we can let you know if you have gotten an interview date or no in December".

i know Mumbai consulate is really really busy and takes 1.5-2 months at the minimum. So doubt it will happen in December but January, 2011 looks good for me.

Congratulations on you CC johndoe12 :dance: awesome news. I wish you to have the interview sooner then that. Maybe they will work extra hard before the major holidays. So we hope :thumbs:

Yes, Indigo, it happened to me last time too :star:

I booked economy class in Etihad, but happened to pay $50 extra for my extra luggage. At the gate, they provided me first class seat. Wow, that was the first time I was traveling in a first class international (other than one time in a domestic airline). It was cozy! Full bed - And I slept like in a home. Food was great too!

Yeah, yeah, I'll be active here some more time and will log once in a while, after the family join.

Few good tips are:

1) Sue for faster DS-3032

2) If possible do a final push from NVC to the Consulate

3) Check payment portal every day, practise calling NVC AVR and operator every day

Thanks Loto. But I was asking about getting bumped to first class - to indigo. The tips for the NVC are great.

MY AOS is going out tomorrow, I called NVC and verified that its ok to send the tax extensions. Will see what happens.

I didn't do anything. When we were queuing to get in the plane, we came to the airport early so we were the first people waiting. The checked us in and put us in first class. Not just me. But my whole family. And if you know anything about desi families, we're always a village-full.

Thanks for the help, trying to finish my form now...but things got pushed back some hours as I fell down some stairs and had to have a trip to the emergency room. Arm is severely strained and this large splint inn't helping my ability to type. :angry:

#35. List all previous visits or residences to the U.S.

I visit my husband at least 2 times a week, sicne we live 30 minutes away from each other. Do I just list the months...even if I stayed one day??! Should I write a brief explanation of this on a seperate sheet of paper, and list the last 5 times I visited him....

You ditzy girl. :P How'd you managed to fall down the stair? I hope you feel better soon. Don't strain your arm too much to get this done quickly. Ask someone else to type for you.
