To make it short, here it is:

I asked NVC to speed up the review and case completion (of course, provided some valid expedited criteria too!). Those fellows closed the case and forwarded to the Consulate for "FINAL REVIEW".

We got to talk about immigration and he was sort of mad that we can do stuff through emails and shi*s while he had to do it the long way using snail-mail, many scores and some odd years ago. Lol. Hi Loto,

Looking at your time line and JD's time line, you might have gotten SIF with normal processing around now and probably Final review done sometime next week without the added risk of AP from the consulate.

Am not sure if the consulate is going to go through the reasons for the expedite and ask for some proof or the other. You probably know better on this.

Hi Loto,

Looking at your time line and JD's time line, you might have gotten SIF with normal processing around now and probably Final review done sometime next week without the added risk of AP from the consulate.

So you mean I saved 2 weeks - say one week for the final review and another week for the case forward to the Consulate, so that my vacation plans are still good (Of course, unless AP)

Yes, sounds about right but probably you have a better chance at a Dec interview with the expedite than not.

But I think it would also be good for you/your spouse to take some documentation on justifying the expedited reasons at the time of the interview..my 2 cents.

I didn't mail/email any proof to NVC to expedite.

Instead I just emailed the expedite reasons to NVC

Let me clarify it.

My intention was NVC to review, close the case in a faster way (rather than the normal processing time) due to those reasons I mentioned. But NVC instead closed the case with their basic review and forwarded it to the Consulate. They also confirmed that the Consulate agreed it to do the final review. Without the Consulate's approval, NVC cannot forward the case to the Consulate before completing the case at NVC.

Your case is like USCIS -> Consulate (You should ask us what's NVC, You are semi-DCF guy )

We are all USCIS -> NVC -> Consulate!

If somebody look at your signature timeline, they will assume you were a DCF guy. So better mask your NVC title

it is a little weird how its working out i must admit. hopefully it will work out well for us all.

ive left the nvc in my sig. as the case did get sent to the nvc initially and we followed the correct procedure as per uscis nvc websites state, granted we havent had any processing done there that we are aware of, as its being done in london. it will be interesting to see how quickly and efficiently it is dealt with though. my sig may help others looking at it know that expedites can be requested at any stage.

i think my sig is pretty well detailed, i will ammend it if things change at the embassy

CRN is totally clueless now and confused if attorney will process his case or he'll take care of it

Anyway, he ought to wash his MIL's benz for the next 3 years until he becomes USC

I understand that you were trying to push things to their limit and didn't really want to expedite technically, but wanted express processing but the way they have treated it is very unique I think. Am not sure if there is a similar precedent like yours. Because, typically in an expedite they should come back asking for medical proof or whatever before deciding to expedite. In your case, you just sent an email twice and they packed up your case.

That's why I call NVC is mystery

My gut feeling is that the Consulate wouldn't ask the proof of expedite since they agreed with NVC to handle by themselves. If they (NVC and/or Consulate) wanted the proof, they would have asked it in the initial stage itself.

Even if they ask it at any stage, we can produce it.
