I agree with you but at line 16 it does say not to count anyone twice and they make these forms for many people with different situation. as you counted your spouse already 0 would be appropriate. So your delusion of this place being better then USCIS is shattered? :bonk::rofl: I dont think it matters with regards to your employment letter as long as its on appropriate letter head, states your current status and has HR contact numbers and name...Fair sailing...

congrats on the interview date Tom. Looks like u have less than a month to go. R u planning on going to visit ur spouse?

Thanks John... No she is too frustrated right now  JK She has some things to do at work (2 presentations) and she also need to get her physical in Manila befor the interview. So I think it will be best if I am not there to distract her if you know what I mean...:yes: I have put some comments together for her that she can choose to use during the interview with regards to my early retirement. I think the rest of it she can handle as its really not that complicated as we both live a simple life.:innocent: You will be here in no time although this waiting game drives us nuts regardless of how long or short the wait.

Hello to all in this forum. From now I am +1 member to this forum from today.

Please I have a question. My I 130 got approve yesterday. I was estimating August 30th for NOA2 hence had the applicant sign DS 3032 with date 8/15/2010 and DS 230 with date 8/30/2010. My question now is, if the times comes that NVC need above documents, can the dates be a problem?

Any help will be kindly appreciated.

THX in advance

I have the same issue! When I last saw my husband - back in June - he signed the DS-3032 and DS-230 and dated it with that days date! I discovered it when I returned to the States....can anyone advise if the dates will present a problem with the NVC?

DS-3032 is not a problem. You can email them. Physical copy is not needed.

DS-230 - The date closer to the submission date is always good. Less than 3 months should be ok. If there is a concern still, use a whitener and adjust the date. Also, fill another exact replica of DS-230 by the beneficiary, just in case, to submit to the Consulate interview time, if the CO asks the latest date.

Loto - I also thought about using white-out on the date...you think that would be ok? I mean, the signature is intact...

- OR - should I just have my hubby send me another blank DS-230 signed and dated (when he sends me his police cert.) and I'll hand write the info on the form (my current forms were typed and printed).

What do you think would be more advisable?

Why would you do that? Emailing it is a snap and White out should never be used on an offical document.

For your DS 230 have him do another one and send it with his police certificate.

Debby,

I thought time is the constraint for you since you are close to NVC filing stage. If your hubby is sending the PCC, of course, ask him to include a signed DS-230 too.

I plan to hand-write DS-230 too. My wife sent me (actually in transit) the blank DS-230 with just signature (I'll date it) alongwith her all other documents.

Loto

This thread is too freaking hidden and seems like people don't respond here as often as they do on the board above this board.

re: hidden - not really - if you'd like it to be more visible, click on 'watch topic' then when you click on 'forums' throughout the day, if there's anything new here, since you last posted, it'll show up in the right hand panel.

as to 'responding often' - hey - it's just the first of the month - so there's folk who are

--just wrapping up with SIF from the September Group and

--just finished up at USCIS and

--waiting for NVC to flag the next thing, usually 'IV fee bill available to be paid'

and these things take time.

PLUS - it's a smaller group, compared to any 'month' group for USCIS.

Going Forward - HEY !!!

Why do you want to appear to be impatient? NVC stuff is rarely immediate or automatic, EVERYONE who wants speed PUSHES things into NVC, based on LingChe's shortcuts or my mini-how-to for online payment portal pushing, or something else. Regardless of the technique, it's all a PUSH, into NVC, so any impatience you had with hurrying along the approval at USCIS - HEY ! You can transmorgify that impatience into USEFUL Energy, and

map out yer plan of attack for NVC, pen to paper,

make sure you have yer documents in order,

and then

PUSH PUSH PUSH into NVC.

Did you realize? You have a unique opportunity now to call into NVC daily, and bug a whole 'nother branch of Government workers. Luckily (for them? for you?) you'll have status updates every few days or within 2 weeks, unlike all of yer waiting time during USCIS processing.

I dunno man, I think it's a grand thing to refocus that energy, PUSH things into NVC because YER driving the process now.

Sure, it all starts with an Embassy Case #, and yer (IMO) about 8 more days away from that.

Hang in there, garner that energy, you'll need it, and soon !

now, as to 'the others' -

Folk will filter in over the next week or so, you'll see many join in as they get another status update.

Now - for something new?

Sachinky used to keep track of all status at NVC, for her NVC Month Groups - with discrete data points for things that are trackable. There are MORE trackable things during NVC processing than what's shown in the timeticks for the timelines here, and I am betting IF YOU started a 'new tracking grid' for all this stuff, you'd be able to burn off some more energy. Plus, this data is useful to people in a month group - it lets them see the time slippage between 'actual event', 'AVR reported event', and 'NVC Human Said'. Let me know if you want to do this (make a comment on my profile) and I'll send you the data to track.

For I-864, I am including this to show sufficient fund. As one can also use asset in savings account. So to show the proof I am including those.

Thanks for Daa tips......:))

I-864

Why do you need the below with the I-864?

• Bank Letter for immigration purpose

• Bank Statement (will print the latest one when ready to send I-864)

DS-230

Print your full name, DOB and NVC Case# behind both the passport size photographs.

Photocopy of all civil documents. So, include the photocopy of PCC too.

Loto

File Ready: Below documents are ready for further processing as it comes along the path:

DS-230:

• Notarized copy of local police clearance certificate (Passport PCC will be submitted at the interview, mentioned in cover letter)

If this wasn't notarized by the police office, then the notarization may be deemed invalid by NVC. Maybe.

• Copy of Petitioner's Naturalization Certificate (??not certain if you need this)

Comments above.

If you truly need cash assets, make sure the computations are shown in the I-864 and a brief description of yer personal computation in the coverletter. If you truly not need cash assets, IMO, this 'bank info' isn't needed.
