yes part 1 of ds230 was signed and all my docs are english...i called them lately AVR said they found missing documents...omg this is another cause of delay...:help::crying:

hi tom can u also review my docs..pls..need help..tnx

I got a similar message on the AVR and it had to do with my income. Did you call and speak to someone. You need to. If it is in fact a real RFE the checklist you will receive will tell you what it is. I looked at your list of document and didn't see anything but just like thekfc and Indigo stated it could be about the supporting documents in your package. Take it easy and try to find out what the trouble is. Call don't wait for Checklist. I never got one and my package went to Case Complete they said They just had to document my income not being adequate. Hope this helps you. Let us know what you find out.

Tom, I've been reading your updates. Sounds like it's not a huge snag but a snag nonetheless. Hopefully, it'll be resolved soon.

I agree Indigo its minor but was not necessary and its still enough to delay the end game. I have a ticket already purchased and want her to do what she can to get the NSO Marriage document in to the Embassy ASAP. Hopefully she will have some info for me on Monday.

Tabta,

I was just giving you my opinion. I not questioning your ability to translate. Just dont forget you are also a party to this and I felt you doing the translation would be seen as a conflict of interest. I guess we could certify our own Documents (marriage Certificate, PCC, Divorce Decree, etc.) using your logic right? I dont think so. They are asking us for original or certified documents so if you are translating one of those I think it compromises the purpose of wanting it certified. Its not that you cant its just that some people might not give 100% translation to help their cause. Not saying you would. If you can see what I am trying to say, it okay by me. I would recommend speaking to NVC or doing additional research but that's up to you. I only have a High School education and these are just my comments. Good Luck.

Well I guess this is a little different in my case. When I Husband and I filed DCF in Mexico in 2005 we had alreay had all of our documents translated by an official translator in Mexico when I was dealing with Mexican immigration because that is the law there. I do understand what you are saying. I personally don't think I would certify the translations if I were doing a CR1/IR1 visa, I would proubably do the translation and give it to one of my collegues and have them review and certify it. As you said they could consider it a conflict of interests. Richt now I am translating for my in-laws. I don't even think my name appears on the application in any way. So it is a bit different

Now that my husband is a citizen, we are preparting documents to apply to bring his parents here.

Most people don't their AOS and IV package checked out at the same time. If NVC finishes AOS and IV hasn't been processed, you get a false RFE. The same way, if IV is processed and AOS isn't, you get false missing document RFE. Best to talk to a live operator and find out what exactly is going on.

Last update on AVR: "The NVC is waiting the return of the biographic form from the petitioner, once this packet is received, allow 6 to 8 weeks for reviewing of all your documentations and you will be notified for the outcome of the review."

After reading a couple of threads, I'm assuming this means they are just about to review the DS-260. Does this mean the AOS has been approved?
