Anyone hear from TomD? He seems to have just dropped off! Am curious to hear if his wife got the visa and why she didn't contact him straight away!

I'm doin fine. Thanks for asking. No updates to report. I have spoken to my wife and I think I crushed her. Not intentionally but just by my forceful nature. I know when I was in PI everyone though I was Strict. I though they were lackadaisical. I got a bunch of I am trying my best and I am sorry but its not my fault and that's not what I want to hear. She basically made an assumption and didnt do, due diligence prior to going to the embassy. She was told by me to have original and to double check and all that Jazz. Now she is paying the price. I hope she learns form this and I hope we get the VISA in hand before Dec 1 which is her scheduled flight date.

I sent an Email to the Embassy in Manila yesterday regarding my situation and asking them if they got the Marriage Doc from NSO. I got the Auto response. Does anyone know if the Embassy response to emails directly? If so how long does it usually take them?

I am sort of stuck cause I cant do anything from here really. I sent my wife an email and told her she needs to call the Embassy on Monday and if they dont have here NSO Marriage Doc. Then she needs to go to Manila and hand deliver is ASAP. For those from the Philippines are NSO Copies of Marriage the same as CENOMAR's. I saw in an earlier post someone saying something to that effect. I dont think they are the same but what do I know.

Holly cow, One operator told me yesterday not to call today, but to call on Monday. Out of curiosity, I picked up the phone and dialed NVC#. Less than 7 tries I got the line. Since I wanted to pee badly (bladder was full!), I hit option 1 - Haiti line :-) Immediately an operator connected me. After basic data feed, he didn't ask me "how can I help you, Sir". Instead, he told me your case is forwarded to Chennai (Madras) Consulate and you will hear the interview date soon. I asked when was that forward. Reply was today!

I checked DHL site and it is left NVC building and Chennai will get it next Thursday

I sent original. But I made high quality color copies. I'm praying that I will get all the originals back. I don't care about losing the original birth certificate. I can get everything reissued easily. But I only care about the Bangla original wedding nikahnama. It has sentimental values beyond comparison. Hopefully, we'll get it back on interview day. Which I hope is sometimes in December.

anyone know what the average wait time is to get aos invoiced?? I got our case number and IIN yesterday....she said that if aos says it is ready to be paid, that I shouldn't pay it until I get the email for invoiced aos...but I have been reading that people have paid it when it was ready, regardless if an email was sent or not...which is correct?

NVC does not need it. But, the Consulate will ask for it (from Wakf board) for Muslim marriages. So, better carry it at the interview time.

Its about a week to 10 days. I was invoiced yesterday and i paid it last night. i had not got an email of being invoiced. Today i logged in and saw that the status changed to PAID, i didnt even get an email on that either. So i printed the cover sheet that needs to be sent with AOS package and will be mailing the package out tomorrow. In my opinion, i would pay the invoice the minute your invoiced regardless of receiving an email.

We are in the same boat...I called NVC today to inquire about my IV bill as it is still saying not invoiced and the lady told me I see that we just mailed out your AOS bill in the mail but you have already paid it without getting the bill...paying bills before they are generated causes problems. Yeah right. I gave them my email for electronic processing haven't received anything from them.

Hey, guys. I'm worried shirtless now. I sent my AOS package to 31 Rochester Ave as the bar-coded cover sheet said. My package was signed by N VISA CENTER like everyone's. Today I got the green return receipt back. It says National Visa Center, 32 Rochester Ave. #######. Everything is cool? Should I be worried.

NVC specifically didn't ask for Nikahnama. But I sent it along with the marriage certificate. For Muslim marriages, it's required during interview from what I understand. I know few other Bangladeshi filers. They sent their Nikahnama to NVC; so, I just followed suit. If you didn't send it, don't worry. But be sure to take original with you during interview and take at least two copies of it.

NSO Marriage Certificate and CEMAR are the same thing. (CENOMAR is a Certificate of No Marriage, which is needed for fiancee visas.)

Just talked with NVC and was told that they still did not received our AOS Packet are they kidding me??? I had it overnighted to them I was hoping for some good news before the weekend...maybe I will call them later after dinner.
