Bringing tany's issue to the forefront again? Did anyone get RFE for not including the letter of employment? I am in a dilemma cause it is taking me too long and HR is annoying the heck out of me.
Had the same problem. HR people are so silly. If you can get it within a day or so, I say include it. I mean it's not a requirement but it's nice to have since everyone else is sending it in.

@ Mark&Ruth, did you guys mention this fact that the country does not give originals and only agency issued copies? Hopefully that fact will be enough to clear the RFE for you

@ Matty, that is a real bummer if they RFE'd you just because of detailed addresses. Point to note and highlight to the knowledge base in WIKI

Yes this was pointed out in the cover sheet that is why I'm having a supervior review so that someone with probably more of a brain can tell the difference. It should be well known as they have been doing this for a long time the philippine government has. I will wait for the supervisor to contact me because I think someone wanted to just get my case off there desk to show they are getting through the case loads in a timely manner. On the issue of an employment letter, i didn't send one in and my I-864 AOS was processed just fine. My HR don't write employment letters and now have the online site theworknumber.com to verify employment and income. you just give online acess key to who needs it and they get to check your status.

Because they are overloaded you AOS will take about 1-2 weeks just to get scanned in. As will the DS-230 just find something else to do as you have to hurry up and wait.

Thanks Teya! I really think it would be so much better if they had electronic processing for everyone. Think of how much paper they wouldn't have lying around to lose or misfile! If they could just open the computer, go to the I-130 folder, do a search for the file they are looking for, and everything is there!

Better if you could go to ceac and upload each file like a checklist: ds-3032 (check), aos (check), supporting docs for aos (check), ds-230 or completion of ds-260 (check), supporting docs for ds230/260 (check)!

Department of state (and CIS for that matter) need to get with the times.

I called NVC to get my daily fix of Patty! My AOS package is still not in the system. :( Why is this taking so long?

Remember Indigo, we filed AOS same day and for DS-230 I am behind by a day. Mine AOS package was not entered until yesterday when I spoke with NVC, but I am hoping by the end of next week our AOS and DS-230 package will be in their system. Lets see !

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

OK AOS shows as Paid have the barcode sheet. I will be mailing out the AOS Package tommorow. Still not able to pay for the IV package Fee., not sure what the story is there.

Man i cant wait to get the AOS out of my hands and into NVC's lap.

Praying for a Decemeber interview.

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

You are so right Solteq, :yes: things would go so much faster, less paper work for them to do and faster processing for us. I think we all waited long enough going though USCIS :bonk:

I think we're all going batty. I got my SIF today as well as an email saying they had all the docs necessary to complete processing. So now I wait for an appointment date.

Loto that's a hilarious scenario. I think it would be interesting to compile a book of the immigration process and how it destroys the sanity of the people involved! :dance: (Imagine this is the cuckoo dance!)

It's either go crazy or cry yourself to sleep every night!

Holly cow, One operator told me yesterday not to call today, but to call on Monday. Out of curiosity, I picked up the phone and dialed NVC#. Less than 7 tries I got the line. Since I wanted to pee badly (bladder was full!), I hit option 1 - Haiti line :-) Immediately an operator connected me. After basic data feed, he didn't ask me "how can I help you, Sir". Instead, he told me your case is forwarded to Chennai (Madras) Consulate and you will hear the interview date soon. I asked when was that forward. Reply was today!

I checked DHL site and it is left NVC building and Chennai will get it next Thursday :dance:

Thats great news Loto. I tell you what im getting very impatient. Its like a paralizing feeling. seems like it took you a month overal during the NVC process? now you got to mess with the Emabasy!
