Yeah. Most of my good news came on Fridays. That's why I called the AVRS. It still say the same thing it tells you. And I sent my AOS package 9 days ago. IV packet was sent 2 days ago. I hope by next Friday, NVC has all this stuff entered into the system. What I noticed is that IV gets entered into the system much more quickly than AOS does. I'm going to call NVC again tonight. Just in case something changes between now and then. Good luck.

Slowed down?? NOOOOO!!! I am counting on NVC stage being finished before people go on breaks, like sven was mentioning...

Yeah. Frigging NVC slowed down a lot. It slowed down just as soon as I landed on NVC. I can't get a lucky break ever.

Yes. You are supposed to write your NVC case number on upper right-hand corner of all page. On original documents, you can affix a peelable sticker with your case number. You don't need the case number on your bar-coded coversheet.

Mark,

Ill be in the same boat when if that happens. I dont get it i that submitted a certified marriage certifcate for the I-130 and still got I-130 Approval. Now if NVC wants a original thats just ridculous. My wife wont let the original leave her possesion. When we got marrid back in Feb i asked for 4 marriage certrificates, they gave me one original and three certfied copies and they look almost indetical.

kvp

Certified copies should be find but these fools can't read the words certified copy that is on the document. Also in upper right corner it has 1 of page 1 of 5 copies...(copy of original). It is the same as the original issued by the correct agency. Basically the NVC is being picky about the document as they are overloaded and the embassies are just about full and most are preparing to cut back on interviews because we are getting to the time of year where alot of people take off for the holidays.

These RFE's are getting stupider by the day when you get an RFE for supplying to much information.

atst,

I haven't yet reached to SIF stage but have just wrapped up the NVC process from my side.

It is imporatant that we need to send original civil documents along with the DS-230 (IV package) and they will return it to the beneficiary during interview.

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

01/17/11 - Medical done ! Passed

01/25/11 - Re-scheduled the interview for Feb 1 @ 1:00 PM

02/01/11 - Interview @ 1:00 PM - Approved :)

02/03/11 - Visa picked up from USEM

The point though is for some countries they don't give you the originals of anything. The philippines don't give originals of most documents, they only give stamped agency issued copies of important forms. Forms issued by the NSO is one that they give certified copies back. The only originals my wife got were the PCC and NBI everything else was just a certified copy from the issuing agency.

Thanks malvika. I guess I will do that.

Just the thought of sending original civil document to a govt agency freaks me out... if they lose it, then all the burden is on us.

Why would you put more info than asked for? If the form says list the city, do just that. List only the city. I'm glad NVC is starting to hand out RFE for giving more info. Then eventually, NVC will be concrete about what it wants and we'll have clear-cut guidelines. One person won't get an unfair advantage by sending in 500 pages of chat lot while another be disadvantaged for following the direction to the letter..

But it's still sad that you guys have received RFE. Hopefully, you'll be able to clear that up quickly and still be able to get a 2010 interview. Good luck to everyone.

So was thinking of just sending the most recent month of pay stubs....with 3 years of tax returns, and a letter from my employer....my mom, who is my cosponsor, has been at the same place for 25 years....I didn't think I would need a letter from her employer since the last 3 years will show the same employment....I hope I am ok....don't want to get an rfe at this stage

Bringing tany's issue to the forefront again? Did anyone get RFE for not including the letter of employment? I am in a dilemma cause it is taking me too long and HR is annoying the heck out of me.

@ Matty, that is a real bummer if they RFE'd you just because of detailed addresses. Point to note and highlight to the knowledge base in WIKI
