OMG, that is even more hilarious !!! :lol::lol:

Given the adulation and respect that name has on VJ, may be you should think of making it your alias ;) who knows it may turn out to be lucky for you in the long run :)

Hope NVC picks up steam soon or else we will all need some kind of theraphy (especially after reading Indigo's recent ramblings :P ).

I am thinking of a massage appointment this week now that the IV and AOS stuff is behind me. B-)

It is off-topic. I emailed a personal mail to my friend and put my signature "Loto" instead of the real name (used to it, here :)). He asked me who is this Loto? I had to explain it was a typo :P

The NVC wait i so boring. I got 2 emails saying they needed the DS-230 which was already sent, takes them forever to open mail or respond to emails now. I think they are at the year end which means they are slowing down dramatically. I'm waiting for the SIF, case complete, with the medical and interview for my wife.

Just made a call to NVC (today's due) and was told that my ####### is still in the final stage of sending to the Consulate.

Advised me to call on Monday. If I don't call tomorrow, I'll miss NVC for a day, so I will call them just to say "hello".

Tomorrow's call

Operator: How can I help you, Sir?

Me: You don't have to.

Operator: What?

Me: Yes I mean it.

Operator: Then why did you call us?

Me: Just to check your cat is fine at home. Also to know you have turned on your heating on at home.

Operator: I don't have a cat. I like parrots and I have one. I feed it regularly. Also, heat is on.

Me: Do you teach your parrot how to say "I miss you 6 to 8 weeks"?

Operator: Normally I will be home except my vacation. Sometimes I take long vacation too. So, it is a good idea to teach it "I miss you 6 to 8 weeks"

Me: Then who taught you to say "Your case will be completed in 6 to 8 weeks"

Operator: It is my boss.

I have been calling NVC everyday since Oct 14. I feel breathless without my daily fix of NVC. I've gotten so used to the lady who announces the AVRS. I dream about her. I wonder what she looks like. I think she has one of those fruit basket hat on top of head. I mean she has too. Her voice fits the persona. She probably works in the finance department and her name is Patty. Patty also has a weird and loud laughter. She's stuck in a passionless marriage.

Malvika, Any news of your AOS package having been entered in to the NVC system ?

When I called NVC this afternoon, I asked the lady, she told me they haven't received my AOS package yet. I told her I mailed it out on 10/27 with next day delivery then she was like ohh then we might have that somewhere in the building laughing.gif

I am hoping NVC will receive/review our AOS and IV package by the end of next week. Lets pray ! :)

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

I think we're all going batty. I got my SIF today as well as an email saying they had all the docs necessary to complete processing. So now I wait for an appointment date.

Loto that's a hilarious scenario. I think it would be interesting to compile a book of the immigration process and how it destroys the sanity of the people involved! :dance: (Imagine this is the cuckoo dance!)

It's either go crazy or cry yourself to sleep every night!

i recieved my case# and IIN # couple of days ago, im using a lawyer so i guess i dont need to generate the DS3032, my question is do you have to wait till nvc send email, before you pay fees of can you check there online payment portal to check if they allow to pay, as of now still states not invoiced

You don't have to wait for NVC to send email..you can pay the fees once it's invoiced. My AOS bill was invoiced on Nov 3. I didn't receive any emails from NVC...so just keep checking payment portal. In the meantime you can email NVC your DS3032.

Got RFE yesterday saying Marriage certificate is not original....of course not NVC dummies it is a certified copy :ranting: . Explained to CSR that they don't give originals and that only certified copies of original is what you will get. She will forward it supervisor for the 2nd eyeball review because of brainless workers and it will take 10 - 15 days. Pretty much wife is not making it this year with a dumb delay like this.

Good morning! Nine days have passed since NVC has my AOS. It's still not tied to my case yet. Most people are getting their AOS entered into the system in 10-12 days. So maybe at the end of the day, I might hear some good news. If IV also takes 10 days, then NVC will have my IV by 13th Nov. Maybe I'll get a SiF and CC by 20th Nov. Maybe, just maybe, I might get a December interview. I do so hope for that.

Ill be in the same boat when if that happens. I dont get it i that submitted a certified marriage certifcate for the I-130 and still got I-130 Approval. Now if NVC wants a original thats just ridculous. My wife wont let the original leave her possesion. When we got marrid back in Feb i asked for 4 marriage certrificates, they gave me one original and three certfied copies and they look almost indetical.

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

Hi,

I have some questions regarding AOS. I'm filing for both of my parents (each with their own application). The AOS fee just cleared and it shows that their cases are tied together (one payment of $88).

Since they are separate cases, I would need to submit one 864 for each of them right? This would also mean that part 3 question 9 of I-864 is a bit confusing b/c they both will immigrate at the same time but on separate petition... My best guess is to treat them separately, filing 2 I-864 packets, and not listing/counting the other person in their respective I-864? This seems a bit odd as the final household size listed in each application will not account for the other person.

If I haven't confused you, any input would be appreciated.
