Loto, Any idea why is it taking so long to clear my IV fee bill? As I mentioned I paid it on 10/30 and it's still showing "in process". Svenkatc also paid his same day and his showed "paid" this morning

asad- Mine took 10 days from when I sent it. From there...if you have the 2 packages sent together...it takes about another week to 3 weeks (depending) to SIF and make sure you don't have any RFE's.

Indigo- My message changed from "NVC generated a package on" to "NVC is now waiting for biographic information" which means they input my AOS and they are waiting for the DS230 stuffs. No idea if I will receive an RFE or not. With my luck...I will receive at least one RFE for AOS and 15 for the DS230. Who knows. You "should" beat me by one day for the DS230 part though :)

She goes, "I can't just squeeze you in", in a very defensive sort of way. It's my birthday today (well, Pacific Time, tomorrow eastern), and I'm really hoping to hear some good news! That's my only birthday wish... :(

Does Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate have to be the recent one? I have my Marriage Certificate and birth certificate which are almost 4 yrs. old.

Unless you birth and marriage certificate has a expiration day, it should be valid indefinately. I'd be rather weird if your birth certificate had an expiration day. So you're fine with 4 years old certificate. Just make sure it's legible, etc.

MY IV package was delivered to NVC. Yay! I feel rather light now. As if I have less burden on me. Cool beans.

Log into your bank's website. And see what's the status on your payment. It might be "pending" or on "hold." Call you bank of get that cleared out. Not saying this is going to sold your problem but it's at least something you can do meanwhile.

Congrats Indigo, now I know you are relieved :)

I just called NVC about my IV fee bill which was not showing "paid". The lady told me that it's not cleared yet. But if I have all the documents for DS-230 I can just go ahead and send my IV package using my AOS bar coded sheet. She told it's just the case number that has to be in front of my package. So I am going to send my IV package before 5 PM today.

Regardin the Birth certificate and marriage certificate, she told as long as it's original it doesn't have to be the recent one.

So I am fine !

Indigo- My message changed from "NVC generated a package on" to "NVC is now waiting for biographic information" which means they input my AOS and they are waiting for the DS230 stuffs. No idea if I will receive an RFE or not. With my luck...I will receive at least one RFE for AOS and 15 for the DS230. Who knows. You "should" beat me by one day for the DS230 part though :)

That's odd. I am getting the same message also. But when I call to NVC and ask a person about the AOS, they say it's not into the system yet. ####### is going on? I iz confuzled! Where all the people who went through NVC recently? What's the trend? Loto got his junk (!) tied to his case in one week and a SIF in another.
